Zendala Dare Number 51

Happy Easter to all. I decided that since think of Easter and spring and flowers as one event that I should add color to my Zendala this week. Here is my offering to the Bright Owl Dare from Erin:

Zendala Dare #50

I really enjoyed this week's dare from Erin at The Bright Owl. It gave me something in which to add my new, favorite of the week tangle, Snugz, by Terri Brown. It's the one that looks like a twisted pretzel:

Beelight as a Monotangle

For this monotangle template from Roy at Mindful Creations, I decided to do Beelight as I thought it lent itself to the square shape. Using the filled in corners next to each other allowed me to change some of the square to look more circular:

A Dare #49 and a TOW for Week 9

Erin, The Bright Owl, challenge #49:
I tried not to drown it in tangles like I usually do. It is hard to stop though. Thanks Erin!

This week's TOW is Phicops. I can't believe how many messes (I know, there are no mistakes in Zentangle, unless you are trying to do a certain one LOL) But, I finally understood it. Just a bit slow at times :)

Monotangle Paradox Revisited

Roy, from Mindful Creations, asked for a monotangle using Paradox. Well, as you know, I already did that last week when it was our favorite or first tangle. So, I decided to combine his request with one I was trying to work on for my Glentangler's group. We were to tangle on something other than plain paper. I tried music paper and maps. They just looked messy. Putting a grouping of paradox seemed to work:

Brayd and a Dare

VERY loose interpretation of Brayd. Mostly because I couldn't do it right LOL!
Zendala Dare # 48 from Erin at Thhttp://thebrightowl.blogspot.com/e Bright Owl. This one was hard for me. I don't like to look and see what others have done so I don't get swayed. Now I will take a peek!

Roy's Monotangle Challenge

So, there is a new challenge in town. Roy, from Mindful Creations has challenged us to do a monotangle using the first meaningful tangle we learned using a simple Z string. The first tangle that I can remember was Rick's paradox. I believe that I came across it somewhere on the Internet and that's what got me started down the rabbit hole of Zentangle®. Looking at the finished monotangle, with shading, I find it difficult to believe that it is actually odd sections of paradox, usually done in a square. I believe it is because of the way I shaded it.

Steampunk Bear was such a fun project. She has moveable arms and legs and will be shipped off to a new home. In return, I will receive someone else's little bear. I colored her with Copic markers and shaded with colored pencil.

Dominoes, Dares, and More

It was a great weekend for tangling. I went to my local group where we worked on tangling dominoes. Our leader for the day was Fran from The Tangled Spirit:
These will be turned into necklaces for special gifts. Easy and fun, but a bit hard on the pens.

Then, I finished my spiral tangles for a group swap:

And, finally, the Zendala Dare #47 from Erin where she challenged us to remove parts of her template to come up with something different:
