Zentangle® a Mobius, PokeLeaf, and an Inchie

I am the Diva, Challenge #251, is to remind us that this Sunday, January 24, is Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day. Laura's youngest son, Artoo, has this syndrome. Please do go to her site to read more about this precious little boy and the syndrome. Laura provided us with a template of the Mobius Syndrome Foundation's logo to use, if we wish. The official color is purple.
I two "M" tangles, Meer and Meo (by Jonathan Baetans). I used Copic multi-liners for the tangling and Polychromos colored pencils for the shading.

Square One, Facebook, has a focus tangle of PokeLeaf. I really wanted to play with a circle, so that's where this one went.

And, Every Inchie Monday's prompt is "Sofa"!

so·fa ˈsōfə/,  A perfect place to hide when you are terrified.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I truly enjoy reading each one of your comments!

  1. Lol, I had to laugh, I used to hide behind the sofa as a child when I watched Dr Who. Great tiles, especially the purple Moebious Strip.

  4. That is me hiding behind the couch watching "Lassie" as a little girl. My mum had to constantly remind me that she would be back next week. Still hid.

    1. I have a dog that goes to get daddy for me when I ask him to. He goes in and barks at him until he comes to me. Then, we always say "Thank you Lassie"!

  6. I hope you're not really scared. There's so much going on at home and in the world to be frightened of that sometimes there really is a temptation to go hide somewhere. I mostly resist this urge except for the occasional hiding in my bed---a/k/a a therapeutic nap. But, back to the Diva challenge. I think you produced exactly what Laura was hoping to see. Very nice. PS: I don't do that challenge, but I like you Pokeleaf in the round.

    1. Nah, me? Not scared of much anymore. My mom was one of those people who ran to bed when she was upset about anything. A couple of times, she stayed in bed for weeks. There are only so many challenges we can find the time to participate in, Suzanne. I'm trying to limit myself to these three on this blog. I have other blogs for different kinds of challenges LOL!

    1. This seems to be evoking lots of childhood memories for a lot of us. A sofa must be a very safe place to hide :) Thanks for stopping by!

  8. I love your double-sided Moebius strip! I think my cat wrote that definition of "sofa"! Who knew?

    1. Thanks, Jennifer. I had a dog once that would hid under the sofa when you said the word "bath"! He would cover his eyes, thinking I suppose, "If I can't see you, then you can't see me"!

    1. Thanks, Annette. Has anyone, besides me, seen how many ways there are to spell "mobius"? I was afraid I had spelled it wrong, but maybe not?

  10. You have chosen nice tangles to fill the logo. I like your way of colouring and I thank you for mention it. I know now, you used Copicmultiliners. I don't have them, but now I'm gonna buy them.
Also, the second tile with pokeleaf is cute and well done.

  11. Love the colours you used for the Moebius art, but I'm not going to rush out and buy more toys. Must. Stay. Focused. As for spelling, for the longest time I never had it right as a science teacher put the "I" in the wrong place and it was hard to shake after that! What a hoot with the HHGG themed inchies! Have a brilliant day! Cheryl

  15. Just love your sofa. My friend and I used to hide behind her sofa when Huckleberry Finn was on the TV. We didn't have one in those days. Why we didn't switch it off, I ddon't know.

    1. LOL, Wendy. I think we all like to be a little scared sometimes or those horror movies would never have anyone go to see them :)

    1. You made me think of the days of hide and seek, Sally. Then, my mind went to kick the can. I'll bet today's kids don't know that one! Thanks for reminding me!

  17. Jean, your Moebius strip is really nice. Great shading, and a beautiful purple. Your patterns are well chosen and strong. I love your Pokeleaf for SQ1. I didn't get to that this week, but have been following the boards. Nice. But...why are you hiding behind the sofa? Our cat did that. Oh, I remember once lying on the sofa with my baby's playpen on the other side so she couldn't see me. I couldn't take one more minute of her crying and demanding that I pick her up and walk her around. Oh, I was a tired mommy that day!

    1. Actually, it was a bed that I hid behind, Antonine. But, you don't really want to know why. Most of us do have a story. It does make us who we are though.
Babies certainly can be demanding. I used to put mine in a different room so I could cry when I could find no way to comfort him. Now, he is a wonderful father himself. Amazing how time flies. Hope neither of us ever has to hide again :)
Sometimes I'm tempted to let the Square One pass, but I've kind of made this blog a X3 set up and so I feel like I must LOL!
