A Dare, A Challenge, and A TOW

First, the Dare, Number 78, from The Bright Owl was kind of Halloween looking, like a web. So, I thought I would try the new tangle pattern, Bumpkenz, by Beth Snoderly. Mine certainly didn't turn out pumpkinie looking like hers, but I like it anyway.
The Diva Challenge #142 was to jump out of our comfort zone. I like just about anything Zentangle, ZIA, color, no color. I even like the tangles that I can't do. I had to really think about this one and decided to do the one tangle that I don't like at all, not even a tiny bit. It is EKE. And, guess what? I still don't like it LOL! (It makes me think of the dreaded "doodle" word.)
And finally, my Yahoo group Tangle of the Week, TOW, was to use Lace Curtains and Ling.

    1. Thank you, Nancy. ATCs seem to call out for color.

    1. Thanks Zoe. I am so grateful for having found Zentangle, especially now that I am retired. It keeps me quite busy, but enjoyably so.

Your colors for the challenge are great and ..... unexpected in a way.

    1. Thank you Annemarie. I am using color and doing a lot of my work right now on the ATC sized cards because of the swap. I am almost half way finished and having a lot of fun with paints and such.

  4. I think you had fun with the (doodled) zendala. I like the way you used bumpkenz (I'd never seen it before). That "eke" pattern looks more like scribbling. And yes, it is one that could be omitted - and will be by me! So your tile was a useful user warning, too :-)

    1. Faith, I did have fun with the Bumpkenz. Although, now I realize I was doing the grid wrong. It still was a fun pattern. Yes, Eke can go away as far as I am concerned. But, I have found that sometimes a tangle that I just don't like suddenly "clicks" with me, like Tipple. So, never say never LOL!

  5. Beautiful zendala! I used bumpkins in mine this week as well... it didn't turn out pumpkin shaped either... closer to a heart shape but not exactly!

Your Diva Challenge zia I find really attractive. There is something about it... the lines, shapes, colors, application... reminds me of abstract/abstract expressionist artists like Kandinsky, de Kooning, Klee, Matisse, PICASO!

It's very striking, in a really great way!

    1. Thanks Kathryn. Isn't it amazing how different tangles look when they are done by different people? I love that about Zentangle.
