I actually finished the Zendala Dare early (for me) this week. I don't have much else to share as I am working furiously (mindfully though) on my ATCs for the CZT swap. I have decided to do TWO decks (yes, crazy)! I will post ALL of them when I have finished. So, here is the Dare from
The Bright Owl. I used Ixorus and Fracas with some black pearls:
I am doing a class on using Zentangle on jewelry pieces this upcoming Friday at Hobby Lobby. Check the Workshops and Classes page for more information. (Forgive the glare, they aren't actually scratched like they look.)
Very nice. I was tempted by the same pattern for the centre, but then used only part of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Faith. I liked yours too. Isn't it funny how some shapes just as for a particular tangle?
DeleteNice, I like the way it came out....sorry dutch english!!!!
ReplyDeleteJoke, I love reading your comments. Your English is better than you think. Please come back and chat anytime!
DeleteLovely your linework!
ReplyDeleteThanks Carmela. I loved this template and it was an easy one for me. Not all of them are :)
DeleteYour zendala is lovely. I think your choice of tangles is quite good, especially for the center section which looks great. (I used your Chaz!) I really like all of your strong deliberate line work here too--very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kim, and thanks for remembering my Chaz. Your comment about the deliberate line work got me to thinking. I keep trying to be soft and flowing. Last week someone even mentioned my "style". Maybe I should just stop fighting it and go with my "style" LOL!
DeleteWhat a good idea to use Ichorus for the center! And what a great idea, this jewelry, if I was near I would come for a class :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, Annemarie, how I wish I could have you come to my class. I would love to meet you. Maybe someday.
DeleteWow - just read your kind comment on my Zendala and see that we had a similar inspiration for our centres. I didn't know what it was called and now I know...Ichorus...great name! Thank you. Axxx
ReplyDeleteWell, Annie, you know what they say, "Great minds think alike!" HAHA Actually, I think some shapes just seem to call out for certain patterns and sometimes I have to fight the urge to do what I think others will do. Maybe we all do that and so we still wind up with the same thoughts :)
DeleteLovely stuff Miss Jean! Really Really nice line work!
ReplyDelete& the tangled charms/pendants (especially the ones in the bezels because of the dimensionality of the resin) are awesome.
Thanks, Kathryn, I am so looking forward to teaching my friends/students to make these simple necklaces to show off their Zentangle skills.
DeleteThis is a wonderful zendala! Great linework and choice of tangles. I love this beautiful jewelry pieces. Really great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lonetta. I always appreciate your comments!
DeleteYour Zendala is lovely! Also love the jewelry you created.
ReplyDeleteLovely Zendala and your Ichorus really pops! Nicely done, and the jewelry is very pretty too - simple but captivating.
