Unbatz by Sandy Hunter, Sez and an Inchie

It's the first Monday of the month, and so the Diva Challenge was to use Unbatz, by CZT Sandy Hunter. This was a fun pattern that allows for many variations, if you're willing to look for them, as you know I always am. I added some Meer, Chartz and Tipple.

The tangle chosen for this week at Square One on Facebook was Sez that I paired with Rain.
And, finally, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was Love. Even I didn't want to mess with love LOL! Just a tiny quilled heart with a jeweled heart.

I appreciate all your comments and try to respond to each one. I apologize to those whose blogs I am unable to visit in return. I seem to run out of time each week. Can anyone else relate?

  5. Jean, I'm impressed with your unbatz. I struggled with it. Yours has depth and movement and, having worked with it myself, I know it wasn't easy---or maybe it was easy and it just wasn't easy for me. Hmm. I need to check out the Inchie challenge (I'm not sure how it works), but I love your "love".

    1. Inchies are just one inch squares that you do anything with as long as you follow the prompt. So, you could draw, use a stamp, cut out a picture, quill, bead, whatever. Do hop over and see all the different ideas people come up with!

    1. Well, I was having trouble making it "my own", which I know you can relate to. So I kept staring at it and saw these circles.......

  8. Jean, I like the way you shade unbatz, great depth and circular looking unbatz. Have to try that myself. And you are right no messing with LOVE, your inchie is very cute, with the quilled heart. Sez, Argg I haven't that one just can't get the flow of this tangle. You did a hell of a job!

    1. I never use Sez. If it weren't "required" I would skip that one LOL! I did have fun messing with shading and might just see how I can alter the look of other tangles by shading in the future. Thanks Diana :)

    1. I don't usually voice my opinion about a tangle not being my favorite as I am always afraid I will offend someone HAHA! But, as you said, I did it!

    1. Thank you, Lynell, I really did have to think about how to combine it with other tangles. Sometimes that can be the most difficult thing. I usually just open my collection and point LOL!

  16. I like the way that you played with Unbatz. A pretty tile...and your inchie heart is adorable! Who would think that you could get so much depth and interest using just strips of paper on a one inch square. Great!

  17. This is pretty neat, the way you've "circled" your unbatz. The shading makes it seem so tactile. I also think your little quilled heart is adorable. All of these pieces are terrific fun to look at.

    1. Thanks, Chrissie. I should add more quilling to my cards. It is a lot less expensive than buying all those pretty flowers that other people add.
