This week's Zendala Dare, over at The Bright Owl, is number 114. I made a happy "mistake" and wound up with this.
Don't you just love "mistakes"? I do because they invite creativity. I used Betweed and Reticulated by Livia Chua. Thanks, Erin, for this lovely template.

Zentangle® a Stacker, W2, and an Inchie
Crescent Moon-Msst- Inner Aura |
I used a tag and a brown Sharpie, Microns in brown and sepia, sepia Conte pencil, Pitt Pastel, and Dylusion Inks in Vintage Photo and Rusty hinge.
The focus tangle for Square One this week was W2. I added Shattuck and Quib.
Every Inchie Monday had a prompt word of "texture". Being a mixed media artist, I love texture and have a huge box filled with items to make texture. I chose some sequin waste to do identical inchies. One on black and one on white. I used Gellatos to color some Molding paste and push through the sequin waste to make texture. If you've never seen the messes I can make, do take a peek at my art journaling blog.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

Zendala Dare # 113
Another wonderful template from Erin over at The Bright Owl. I used variations of Verve and Drupe, some rounding, with a border of Cadent.

Zentangle® Aquafleur, Nymph, and an Inchie
The Diva ran a day late this week with Challenge #240. However, we are all happy to hear that Artoo is doing better. Laura suggested that we do something inspired by the season. Well, I live in Arizona where mother nature doesn't know it's fall yet. I do come, originally, for New Jersey. I remember the beautiful fall leaves. I wanted to do a leaf on a tan tile and went hunting for an image to use. I found a free image that I used to make a stencil with my Scan n Cut machine. I sprayed with Dylusion sprays and did Aquafleur with a Tombow brown pen. I added sepia pencil for shading, white colored pencil for an outline, and a white gel pen to the simmer.
Square One chose the focus tangle of Nymph b CZT Melinda Barlow. I added Nippa.
And, Every Inchie Monday's prompt word was "yogurt". Well, I love yogurt and eat some almost every day. However, did you know that yogurt is also an excellent brass cleaner? (Can anyone guess that I used to be a teacher LOL!!!)

Zendala Dare #112
Erin at The Bright Owl has given us a beautiful template to do our Zendala's this week. I chose Jonqal and Munchin. I had to force myself to stop. I often add too much and lose something in the process. I think minimal shading suited this design quite well.
Thanks to all of you that stop by and leave me a comment. I so enjoy reading them!

Zentangle® Munchin, Poke Root, and an Inchie
The Diva and her family celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday and so the Challenge didn't come until today. It was to use Munchin. I've often used Munchin on the black and so I decided to do one on a tan tile. The tan is quite delicate and does take some getting used to though. I used a brown 01 Micron, Sepia Pitt Pastel, and a white chalk from Kol-I-Noor.
Square One had a focus tangle of Poke Root.
And, Every Inchie Monday had a prompt word of "key". Does anyone remember their biology classes and learning to use a dichotomous key?

Zendala of Frankenstein
The challenge over at The Bright Owl this week is to turn Erin's template into a Halloween masterpiece. I'm not too sure about the "masterpiece" part, but my rendition of Frankenstein would certainly fall into the Halloween part. At first, I wondered how this would work into my way of thinking about Zentangle and Zendala's. However, once I got started, I found the rhythm the same as I went about the circle repeating one little piece of the face at a time. I did manage to squeeze in a bit of Knightsbridge along the outer edge! A fun challenge!

Zentangle® with Tri-bee, Jalousie, and an Inchie
UMT, use my tangle, features Tri-bee from CZT Beate Winkler over at The Diva Challenge this week. Such a pretty tangle with so many options. I chose to do an aura and add some Knightsbridge.
The focus tangle for Square One was Jalousie by Stephanie Kukla. I added Hurry to this one.
And, Every Inchie Monday had a fun prompt this week: Lumberjack. Did you know that September 26 is National Lumberjack Week? Well, I didn't either. So, next year, pull out your plaid, grow a beard, and eat some pancakes!
Hubby and I were off on a camping trip (no phone or Internet service) for several days so I couldn't comment on everyone's blog. I will try to do better this week. I always enjoy reading your comments and I thank you for dropping by!
