Zentangle® Ing, Viaduct, and an Inchie

I am the Diva, Challenge # 281, is to use Ing. It's one I don't use much, but it was fun to pull it back out. Last week I had a group of lovely ladies who had a birthday party and I was the entertainment. I showed them how to use watercolor pencils. We had so much fun that I felt like doing more. So, I used a purple Micron pen and then added some Prima Watercolor pencils. I filled the Ing with 'Nzepple.
The focus tangle for Square One, Facebook is Viaduct by Wayne Harlow. I added Intersection by Suzanne McNeill and some Florz.
And, Every Inchie Monday's prompt word is Dolphin. Did you know that you can actually adopt a dolphin? Several groups, just look it up. After drawing one, I attempted to make one with my new set of Perler Mini Beads. I certainly have a new appreciation to our beading friend, Freebird! Not even close LOL!

I want to thank you for stopping by. I always enjoy reading your comments!

    1. Sometimes when I read comments I have to go back and look at what I did, Chrissie. You are right, I did use a lot of shapes this week. I usually find it hard to contain myself this way. Good thing for challenges to push us a bit!

  2. I like both tangles but you have brought the viaduct and the intersection nicely together. The colors in the first one complement each other wonderfully. The dolphin is charming and better luck with the beading next time!

    1. Thanks, Indira. Doing those little beads in a one inch square is a bit of a challenge. I really got them to make embellishments for my card making, but thought I would at least give it a try.

    1. Thank you, Patty. There are so many worthy tangles out there. Who can use them all? I like getting the push to use some of these that I might not have even know about before.

  4. I definitely need to look up a tutorial on using watercolor pencils. I really like the look you were able to achieve with them and your ING. I don't do the Square One challenges (it's a time rather than a desire thing), but I really like your Viaduct---a new tangle for me. Lastly, beading? I admire your willingness to try new media. All very nice.

    1. Suzanne, water color pencils are just so much fun. With a water brush, you can take them anywhere to water color. No mess, no fuss! I like Square One because of the huge variety of entries. You can really see how far a tangle can go with such a huge group.

    1. Since the Diva Challenge is not restrictive, I find it fun to play with more ZIA than pure Zentangle. So, that means COLOR :)

  8. I love your dolphin, he looks rather bemused, probably wondering where his mate has gone to fetch his dinner from. Great tangles as well.

  9. DO great minds think alike? I have to believe in a collective brain or why else did I go in a similar direction for the Diva-ING? Though, I didn't break out my Prisma watercolour pencils, which I l-o-v-e. Not enough time in a day, I guess. I like that you tried new things for the inchie. Sometimes, it's just the process...Cheryl

    1. You couldn't give me a better compliment than to say my work is like yours in any way, Cheryl! I do need to try new things all the time. By the time I am mediocre, then I'm ready to try something new LOL!

  11. I love the square one tangle, reminds me of concert halls from the 20's! Love the dolphin and the hama bead one is a great first try. Thanks for the mention! BTW I plan to make a k-cycle with those hama beads soon!

    1. I will look forward to seeing you work with those beads, Freebird. I had to look up K-Cycle and it appears to be a mathematical equation. I'll bet it is actually something else?

    2. Jean, the K-cycle or kaleidocycle is a 3D piece usually made with folded paper. I made one out of beads a few months back and showed the video of it on my blog. Earlier this week I saw a huge one done in the hama beads and I am stoked to try it.

  21. Okay, I got through the lovely comments, but now I have to go back up to see what I'm commenting about. LOL - Oh yes! Now I see. I love your ING and how you used "Nzeppel in it. Hadn't thought about using that in there. Now I will definitely be thinking about it. Also your colors are gorgeous - blue is my particular favorite. Viaduct isn't one I've used before, so I made out one of my cards for the step-outs for this one and I'll be using it somewhere now. I like how you used it and I love seeing the different ways the tangles are used. More possibilities than I can do in a lifetime I think. LOL And of course, your dolphin is so cute. And the more I look at the beads, the more the dolphin pops out. Very good for such a small piece with that size bead.

I like ING so much that I decided to do another tile of just a study of ING all by itself and posted that one last night. Very much fun.

    1. So, you actually read everything? That's great to hear since I do love responding to people's sweet comments. Tangles that have little nooks and crannies are perfect for squeezing in different tangles. That's always fun to do. Isn't Viaduct fun? Another one for popping in more tangles. I will have to take a look at your Ing, Melena. I'll bet it is wonderful, just like you :)

    2. Yes, I do read everything. I love seeing other people's comments and especially your comments on their comments. LOL I learn more about each tangle from everyone. Thanks for doing this wonderful blog.
