Well, the challenge from
I am the Diva remains the same for this week except to use a fragment (filler) that is asymmetrical. I am happy to have another go at this. Last week, I tried to use an Ogee grid and lost myself along the way and had to say that I used an "irregular" gird. So, I decided to do it again, and did so with complete success. The filler is a fragment of
Footlights by Carole Ohl, CZT.

Bales 😲

When I was an art teacher, we did multicultural paper dolls holding hands like this and hung them all over the ceiling. I taught 1st-8th graders and their paper dolls were soooo much better than mine LOL; however, they weren't trying to fit several in one inch :) That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

ReplyDeleteFunny, but I'm getting more used to hearing that word, reticula. At first it just annoyed me. I kind of prefer to keep things simple. But, it's a good word to use for Zentangle pieces.

ReplyDeleteIt's actually an Ogee grid, Kate. That grid used to give me fits with the changes of direction. I finally have the muscle memory to do it now without stressing, LOL. No Zen in stressing :)
DeleteI always think of "Hi,Howareyou,I'mfinethanks,howareyou?" as one, rather meaningless word, because no one really wants to know the answer. I like your paper dolls, although I don't know the song. Well done with your creativity once again
ReplyDeleteI had to chuckle when I read your comment, Kia. I avoided high school chemistry (which came back to bite me in college) by taking shorthand instead. (Somehow I talked my guidance counselor into this saying I needed it to take notes in college.) All I can remember how to do though is "dear sir how are you I am fine" LOL!

ReplyDeleteI really couldn't remember the words to this song, Jenny. The part, "that is the question" is the fragment that kept going through my head. When I remembered the part "paper dolls", I put question and paper dolls in my search engine and Google found it for me. Amazing!

DeleteLike the Diva Challenge tile. Did not think of making a fragment from part of a tangle. Like the color. I am like a bad penny. Just about the time that you think you have seen me for the last time, I show up again, lol.

Yes, it's actually a full tangle, but the idea of moving something like this around sounded interesting. I do like what happens. I may just have to try this with more "real" tangles.
