Zentangle® Betweed, Beelight, and an Inchie

I have had such a wonderful week. Friday, I was lucky to have been able to give a class to one of our Diva Challenge participants from the Netherlands, Kay. She was visiting here in AZ, looked me up, and we had so much fun tangling together. It is so amazing to me how we can be from all over the world, yet friends through this shared love of Zentangle. You can see the ZIA's (Zentangle Inspired Art) she did in creating a tangled garden and exploring fractuals on the Workshop tab on the top. Hers is the first picture under student works.

For the Dive Challenge #191, we were to use Betweed as a monotangle. I think this is such a graceful tangle. I decided to push it into different shapes and go in different directions too.
For the Square One group on Facebook, the tangle of the week was Beelight. I also pushed this one a bit and used more of curved rectangles rather than squares.
And for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was "Vegetable." I have no idea why this was the image that popped into my head, but it did, and I went with it!
Thanks for stopping by. I love to read your comments. It makes blogging worth all the time that goes into it. Maybe you too will visit AZ one day and we can meet :)

  3. I really do like how you've given Betweed a different shape to follow and it works excellently. Your Beelight is fantastic too - saw it on the Square One group and loved it. As for the dancing veg....well, we know now to expect the unexpected when we visit your blog, Jean! Thanks for the welcome grin I always have when I leave again! Axxx

    1. Thank you, Annemarie. Of course, my first question to Kay was, "Do you know Annemarie?" Because she should!

    1. You should definitely take a side trip up to the Phoenix area. One class of Zentangle and I promise, all the mystery will be gone and you will be able to do it also!

    1. You know, Ilse, when I looked back at the three things I posted, I noticed that everything begins or ends with a point. I wonder what that means? Thanks for your comment!

    1. It makes me happy when my little Inchies make someone smile. They don't all lend themselves to that, but I love to try to do something different IF I can think of something. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

    1. I'm glad you saw all those different parts of Betweed. I really had fun playing with all those different shapes and directions. I guess I have difficulty being too serious with a piece of art that is only one inch HAHA!

  20. Nice job. I am impressed how you consistently get things posted early in the week. This has become increasingly difficult for me.

    1. Donald, it's just like school, if I don't get my "assignments" done right away, more pile up and then I can't do anything! So, I have a schedule now and I just follow it. This whole week has been difficult though with my AZ Teachers' Conference coming up this Friday, but I should be back on track after that.

  21. A really beautiful betweed tile! I see it more as a flower, some kind of orchid. It flows so naturally a,d looks so delicat. Great work, all of them.

    1. Oh thank you, Nat. I'm happy that it looks like a beautiful flower. I have been trying to be more "delicate" in my tangling. Not easy for me though as I tend to have a heavy hand.
