This week's Challenge from the Diva Challenge was to use Margaret Bremner's tangles Chebucto and Copada as a duotangle. Easier said than done! It took me three tiles because each time, I found myself adding different tangles inside the empty spaces NO, NO, not a duotangle anymore. Sigh. I will continue with those later though :)For the Facebook group, Square One, the tangle was Rixty. I had fun letting Rixty grow into PokeRoot and PokeLeaf. I filled the insides with an aura and added some Fescu.

DeleteTalk one is great, the talk is cheap made me smile because for me a mobile phone bill is a non event! We live in a black hole and so rarely get any kind of reception that we are both pay as you go! Keeps the expenses down :-)

ReplyDeleteIlse, one of my favorite lines comes from Suzanne McNeil. She was doing a Zentangle video and made a "mistake" and said "Oops" out loud. She immediately recovered and said something like "There are no mistakes in Zentangle, only an opportunity to come up with a new tangle." And then, she looked right into the camera and said, "And, now you know why I have come up with so many of my own tangles." Isn't that great? Maybe I did invent something new, but if I did, I have hundreds of times before LOL!
DeleteI had some false starts with my chebucto and copada tile too. I might have possibly included some other tangles inside my duotangles, but I'm calling them tanglelations. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Yours ended up fine, so all's well that ends well. Or so "they" say.I have a cell phone bill, but no land line bill. Like our Millennial sons, we have jettisoned our land line which didn't work half the time anyway.

Yes, Sandra. I couldn't deal with the idea of borders and straight lines. I'm not very good at that. It's kind of coloring inside the lines. So, I chose to at least make one circular.

DeleteGreat job on all three challenges but the square one tile is my favorite! Rixity is fun pattern but I find it difficult and you made this one fine.

DeleteVery clever work on chebuncto Jean...that tangle nearly did me in. Wayne showed me three different ways to do it and the third was a charm. I couldn't grasp it right away...practice makes progress. The piece with rixty is wild...and the inchie really made me laugh, too true!
