Zentangle® Chebucto and Copada, Rixty and an Inchie

This week's Challenge from the Diva Challenge was to use Margaret Bremner's tangles Chebucto and Copada as a duotangle. Easier said than done! It took me three tiles because each time, I found myself adding different tangles inside the empty spaces NO, NO, not a duotangle anymore. Sigh. I will continue with those later though :)

For the Facebook group, Square One, the tangle was Rixty. I had fun letting Rixty grow into PokeRoot and PokeLeaf. I filled the insides with an aura and added some Fescu.
The prompt from Every Inchie Monday was "Talk". Well, they say "talk is cheap". Whoever said that has never seen my cell phone bill!

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments.

    1. Well, LeeAnn, you know I can't just do tangles as the stepouts are shown. Makes me crazy to do so. HAHA!

    1. Thank you, Carmela. It's hard to stay simple sometimes. My fingers start to twitch and I just have to complicate things up a bit more LOL!

    1. Well, it may look funny here, Suzy, but at least I pay online and don't actually write a check. That would be worse, I'm sure!

  4. Talk one is great, the talk is cheap made me smile because for me a mobile phone bill is a non event! We live in a black hole and so rarely get any kind of reception that we are both pay as you go! Keeps the expenses down :-)

    1. I think I really use my cell phone more as a camera, Sally, than I do for anything else. I just like having it, I guess :)

    1. Thanks, JL. I kind of like that flower too and may find myself using it more when I can squeeze other tangles inside of it.

  8. Great work! I love you're Copada flower, that's very creative. Maybe you invented it thanks to the duotangle? ;-)

    1. Ilse, one of my favorite lines comes from Suzanne McNeil. She was doing a Zentangle video and made a "mistake" and said "Oops" out loud. She immediately recovered and said something like "There are no mistakes in Zentangle, only an opportunity to come up with a new tangle." And then, she looked right into the camera and said, "And, now you know why I have come up with so many of my own tangles." Isn't that great? Maybe I did invent something new, but if I did, I have hundreds of times before LOL!

  9. I had some false starts with my chebucto and copada tile too. I might have possibly included some other tangles inside my duotangles, but I'm calling them tanglelations. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Yours ended up fine, so all's well that ends well. Or so "they" say.I have a cell phone bill, but no land line bill. Like our Millennial sons, we have jettisoned our land line which didn't work half the time anyway.

    1. Well, Suzanne, at least I know for sure that when my landline rings, it is a salesman HAHA!

    1. Thanks, Annemarie. When Rixty was first introduced I knew that tanglers would have a lot of fun with that one. So many possibilities!

  13. I like your tile :-) I also found it difficult to do a duotangle with these two patterns...
    Your Rixty-tile looks wonderful!

    1. Yes, Sandra. I couldn't deal with the idea of borders and straight lines. I'm not very good at that. It's kind of coloring inside the lines. So, I chose to at least make one circular.

    1. Thank you, Lonetta. It's always fun to play with tangles and see what they can do. The Chebucto was hard enough that I wasn't ready to play with that one yet LOL!

You got so much information on your inchie. Brilliant.

    1. Yes, Margaret, especially if you've left room inside. I just NEED to fill the spaces with other tangles LOL!

    1. Thank you, Diane. Sometimes tangles just want to morph for me. It is hard, actually, to keep from doing it. Guess that's the way my mind thinks LOL!

  26. Nice work to do Copada in a circle. I tried to do that with Chebucto but was not successful. I like your check marks. Was that because you could finally check it off.

  28. Very clever work on chebuncto Jean...that tangle nearly did me in. Wayne showed me three different ways to do it and the third was a charm. I couldn't grasp it right away...practice makes progress. The piece with rixty is wild...and the inchie really made me laugh, too true!
