Zentangle® Hollibaugh/Hollibaugh, Pepper, Mooka, and an Inchie

The challenge this week from I am the Diva, is to use a tangle inside of a tangle. I suggest this to my students all the time and I always point out how much fun it would be to tangle Hollibaugh inside of Hollibaugh. So, I finally decided to do it myself. I got four layers going. If you've never held a hand mirror up to a mirror, do try it. It's the same thing. I added some partial Meer, some orbs and specific shading to try to show some of the layering.
Square One, Facebook, has a focus word of Pepper. I combined a Pepper with Mooka.
And, finally for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt word was village. I really looked to find something different and finally gave up. This is not my favorite inchie because I couldn't find any way to be creative. So, I give you a simply drawn village.

Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy reading each of your comments!

    1. Thanks, Sally. You are so kind. I wish I could say that I drew better on larger paper, but what you see is what you get LOL!

  2. I like your inchie with the sunset in the background. Your diva tile with Hollibaugh is also really great and funny.

    1. Thanks so much, Bhamathi. This is one that I could see in my mind and it actually turned out to be what I was thinking. That doesn't happen very often LOL!

  4. I've never thought to do Hollibaugh inside Hollibaugh. Based on your composition, it obviously works very well and I will have to "borrow" it. Pepper is a new tangle for me. I'm anxious about adding any more "must dos"to my list, but I think I should probably bite the bullet and add the weekly Square One challenge.

    1. Ah, I understand completely. I just want to do everything, but there just aren't enough hours in the day. I just added a watercolor class to my plate, because evidently, I don't have enough to do LOL!

    1. My first thought was Cadent too, Annemarie. I almost didn't do Hollibaugh because I thought a lot of people might do it. But then, I really did want to try doing the layering so I did it anyway. I will pop over soon to see how you did the Ing.

  9. Hollibaugh in Hollibaugh is very special for me, I have never thought about it but I really like it (I' ve learned something new today, thank you Jean) In the second tile, you have made the pepper very well with the white accents and the shadow arround.

    1. You know the saying, Ria. Those who can do and those who can't teach. Well, there are often things that I suggest to my students that I have never actually done myself. I figured it was about time on this one LOL!

    1. You are so kind, Trillian. I guess I really like to hear the "whatever was she thinking?" gasp that some previous inchies have produced. It makes up for my lack of skills LOL!

    1. Thanks, Daniele. I do love to have my students "push" tangles. I would rather that they have a limited "vocabulary" of tangles and learn to really see the potential in them instead of chasing after new tangles all the time.

  22. Great tile Jean. I'm in the middle of doing one for this challenge right now. I'm just checking some others to see if I'm on the right track. lol I am. I'll get it posted soon. I've got a pot of soup on the stove that I have to keep checking while I'm doing this. Multi tasking again. Hee hee!
