Zentangle® Drawings, and an Inchie

Hope that all of you that celebrate had a wonderful Christmas. I know we did. Still no Diva Challenge, but I do have my Drawings from Square One on Facebook.
And, for the last Inchie, from Every Inchie Monday, the prompt word is Letter. I always dated the "intellectual" type in high school, so never got to wear a boyfriend's sports letter sweater.
Wishing all of you a very Happy New Year. Thank you for being a very important part of my 2016. I truly enjoy seeing your comments pop up and reading all the sweet things that you write. See you again in 2017!

Zentangle® Stella, a Star, and an Inchie

No Diva challenge until after the holidays, so I will start with the focus tangle from Square One on Facebook. Stella is a pattern from Jana Roberts and I absolutely love it. I can see so many possibilities with this one. I am always telling my students to take just one tangle and push it in as many directions as they can. I compare it to vocabulary. If you know a lot of words but don't know how to use them, what good are they?
Chris Letourneau, CZT, has genereously shared her template to make pretty stars to tangle. I used this one to show a student how nicely Copic markers can look with Zentangle.

Every Inchie Monday's prompt word was "Ugly". Well, this time of year, we all know what that means.

Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate!

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

Zentangle® Msst, Aura-Leah, and an Inchie

This has been an eventful week with my computer going belly up last Monday. What fun, she says sarcastically, to try to find all the things I had, remember passwords, get things to work. But, 7 days later, I'm doing okay!
This week over at I am the Diva, Laura showed us the links to the past five year's December posts so that we could choose one. I went to the very first, Simplicity, since I need that right now. It was most interesting to see names there that I haven't seen in years. Well, a bit sad actually. I enjoyed interacting with a lot of them in the past.
Anyway, here is my Renaissance tile using Msst, Zig markers, and Prismacolors. Msst seems to be the "easiest" tangle of all, and simplicity means easy to me.
The focus tangle for Square One, Facebook, is to use Aura-Leah, by Carla du Preez.
And, Every Inchie Monday has a prompt word of "Grin". Well, of course I had to think of the Cheshire Cat since I love anything Alice!

Thanks for stopping by. I know many of you only visit to see the Diva Challenge (I will still post each Monday), so if you don't come back until January, I wish you all the best for this holiday season and I look forward to seeing that you all have a happy and healthy 2017.

Zentangle® Moowa, Reel, and an Inchie

I just love the new tangle by Anya Ipsen, CZT, called Moowa. So, I was pleased when the tangle this week from I am the Diva is Moowa. It has the grace of Mooka without the never ending part. I have a student who would like to learn more about Copic markers, so I created this for him to practice blending colors.

Square One, Facebook, has a prompt tangle of Reel by Lily Moon. This is a pretty tangle with so many possibilities. I did several variations to test it out.

And, Every Inchie Monday has an odd prompt of "42". So, 42 inches is three-and-a-half feet, right?

Thanks for stopping by. I do love reading your comments.
