This week over at I am the Diva, Laura showed us the links to the past five year's December posts so that we could choose one. I went to the very first, Simplicity, since I need that right now. It was most interesting to see names there that I haven't seen in years. Well, a bit sad actually. I enjoyed interacting with a lot of them in the past.
Anyway, here is my Renaissance tile using Msst, Zig markers, and Prismacolors. Msst seems to be the "easiest" tangle of all, and simplicity means easy to me.
And, Every Inchie Monday has a prompt word of "Grin". Well, of course I had to think of the Cheshire Cat since I love anything Alice!Thanks for stopping by. I know many of you only visit to see the Diva Challenge (I will still post each Monday), so if you don't come back until January, I wish you all the best for this holiday season and I look forward to seeing that you all have a happy and healthy 2017.
I think your Cheshire Cat is spot on because he fades in and out and it's only his eyes and grin you see!! He's great!! But yes like minds!!

DeleteLove that inchie! What a great grin. The use of color with Msst introduces all kinds of possibilities and the shading on Aura-Leah does amazing things with that pattern.
ReplyDeleteThat Cheshire cat, well the whole book, is just an amazing thing. One of my favorites. I am really into using color whenever I can. I know it's not "pure" Zentangle, but it is really my favorite thing to do. Thank you, Melissa.

DeleteI didn't get to do comments last week, but I wanted to let you know that your Moowa inspired me to use color when I tried mine. However, my Moowas came out looking like colorful cobras doing line dances. I'm trying to educate myself about it and you are one of my unwitting mentors. My relatively new attraction to color might be a desperate attempt to try to stave off Seasonal Affective Disorder here in Philadelphia, but since you live in the land of perpetual sunshine, you must just like color. ReplyDeleteI did go look at your pretty Moowa, Suzanne, and left you a note as to why yours looks like "cobras". Easy fix. I actually prefer to work with color, bad CZT. I don't teach Zentangle that way, but it is my preference. I spent way too many years in NJ with the dreary winters to not prefer color LOL! It makes me SAD just to think about it. Merry Christmas to you and the Doctor with wishes for a happy and healthy New Year as well!
