Zentangle® Some Peanuts, Peanuckle, and Rope String

Jessica Davies is with us again this week as guest poster over at I am the Diva. She challenged us to use Peanuckle. This tangle gave me fits for a long time. Even with the expert teaching from Molly at my CZT training, I still trembled at the thought. This tile proves that one should revisit difficult tangles at a later date. No problems with this one at all anymore. And, sorry, I just had to do this, LOL!
Square One, on Facebook, has a focus tangle of Fluxecho with the step-outs created by Lynn Shelton Mead. I added an aura and filled using Knightsbridge.
And for that splash of color,I had to try Rope String from CZT Margaret Bremner. I used Copic Markers for the color. In support of our Online friends, Michele from Coffee & Creativity, I will add this one to the MadeByJoey Weekly Challenge.
Thanks so much for dropping by. I do love reading your comments!

  1. I had quite a chuckle over your peanuckle tile, although I have to say, you've nailed the pattern completely. I really like the Rope string and your use of colour.

    1. Thanks, Margaret. My plan was to continue some larger Peanuckle through the corners, but when I did the first one, I just couldn't get past what I was seeing :)

  2. Forget the lima beans, you got peanuts from peanuckle! LOVE it!
And so glad you too revisited peanuckle and found your groove with it. You have a steady hand and it shows. :-)
    Thanks for participating again!

    1. Always appreciate being pushed where I don't really want to go, Jess, LOL! Seriously though, that's what I love about challenges, and this was a great one!

  3. From the nuts, over the racing checkered flags, to the beanstalk lying on your dish drying cloth, all are simply fantastic tiles!

    1. LOL, Susie. You're right! I have been in a fantastic mood lately, and I guess that all came through. You really made me laugh at the beanstalk lying on the dish towel vision. I'll never look at it the same :)

    1. I get bored very easily, Trudi, so I am always looking for something different to do. Guess I did it for sure this week :)

  5. Yes, Jean, your Peanuckle reminds me of Peanuts (actually the Mr. Peanut man on the can...remember that so long ago?) It's a pretty good Peanuckle tangle at that, though. I really like the look of your rope string too.

    1. My mom would take me downtown to shop, before malls were invented :) Mr. Peanut gave out free hot peanuts outside of the shop. A favorite!

    1. They did make me chuckle, Michele. I'm glad that the "purest" tanglers aren't upset with this take on Peanuckle! (Or, maybe they are but are too kind to say so, LOL!)

  9. I've been sitting here feeling bad about Peanuckle---until I saw yours. LOL. I don't do the other challenges you share, but I enjoy seeing what you are doing. Beautiful work.

    1. Peanuckle whooped a lot of butts this week, Suzanne, but we bravely pushed on. Most of us anyway. It was fun to read that some people actually think of this tangle as a favorite. Hummm, I always wonder about that kind of thing :)

    1. I think I may have been missing the fun silly things I got to do each week when the inchies were actual words that allowed for a lot of creativity, Donald. This year they are animals. For me, not much fun. Thanks for your nice comments!
