Zentangle® a Petoskey Stone, Ballenchain, and a Mosaic

So delighted to have Jane Reiter join in at I am the Diva as guest blogger this week. She introduced me to a fossil that I had never seen, the Petoskey Stone. Amazing. Do pop over and follow her links to learn more. Since I have a faux riverbed in my front yard, I went hunting for a suitable flat stone to tangle. This is what I came up with:
I washed the stone then I used Sharpie paint pens. The centers are Printemps.

Square One, Facebook, has a focus tangle of Ballenchain by CZT Sandy Steen Bartholomew.

And, for those of you who asked, I finished the mosaic/plate building on last week's 3Z tile that I started.

Thanks to all of you that came to visit, and a special thanks to those who leave me such nice comments each week. I so enjoy reading them.

    1. Trudy, I doubt if I will be the only one to come up with that idea. I really had to push myself to finish the tiles, but I'm glad I did!

    1. I've done rock tangling before, Vonnie. My hubby worries that I will exhaust our supply of rocks, LOL!

  7. Shall I say it again? Your Petosky Stone rocks! LOL I love that you did it on a stone from your own riverbed. ;-) I didn't go that far, but mine is definitely a stone. I really like your Ballenchain. I think I've seen that one around but have never used it. Looks like a fun one to do. And last, but not at all least, your 3z Zentangle Plate turned out wonderful. You really shouldn't push yourself over the edge to accommodate us, but I'm glad you did it. I've had a really bad head cold over the weekend and am still under the weather. I'm just happy I got my Petosky Stone done at all. Don't get a summer cold, they're miserable (I've heard from the people at the pharmacy that it's going around right now - ugh). Stay well and have a great week.

    1. Yes, you should say it again 'cause it's funny, Melena! And, yes, easy for me to do with lots of those rocks in my yard. Sandy has a lot of interesting tangles that are worth playing around with. I don't think I'd ever done Ballenchain before. I usually push myself but just didn't feel motivated until I read all those comments. I'm really glad that I finished it as I can use it as a sample for students in the future.
I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Do take care and I hope your back to your old self very quickly!
