Zentangle® Drupe, Pokeroot, Batumber, and an Inchie

I Am the Diva has asked us to use a duotangle of Drupe and Pokeroot this week. Being unable to come up with some clever design, I decided to play with my Inktense, a round Zentangle tile, and make a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art).
I love the tangle by Kelley Kelly, CZT, that was selected as the focus tangle over at Square One on Facebook. It is called Batumber (http://thepathuntangled.com/batumber/).
And, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt word was "Brain"! I'm sure you have all heard of brain freeze. A brain freeze is when very cold things trigger a headache. The real name for it is sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia. Don't forget it. There could be a quiz! Oh, and how I love ice cream! (This was still done one inch size, but somehow I messed up the settings in Photoshop Elements.)

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

Zentangle® Paradox and 'Nzeppel with an Inchie

Cheers for the Diva, who has posted 200 challenges for us! We thank her, not only for the fun challenges and learning, but for the friendships we have made along the journey.

For this challenge, #200, we were asked to use our go to or favorite tangle as a monotangle and be sure to add the year somewhere. My absolute favorite tangle is Rick's Paradox. I can add it to just about any shape too LOL! So here it is, on a Renaissance tile, with Paradox inside of Paradoxes.

Square One tangle this week was 'Nzeppel. I added some Cat-Kin and Pokeroot. Notice the 'Nzeppel inside of the Pokeroot? Think I have a problem?

And, finally, from Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was giraffe. I didn't want to go to afar with this one as the giraffe is my main totem. A totem, if you do not know, is an animal or thing that is believed to have spiritual significance. The giraffe, who sticks his neck out, reminds us that we all have the ability to rise up to a challenge and be graceful when doing so. I, the giraffe, love all the other giraffes in this group who boldly post something that they have created from their own heart.

Editing to acknowledge that, yes, the Diva asked for the number 200 and I, being a very poor reader of directions, turned that into the year. Oh, well, not perfect I guess :)

Tangling Lefty, Adding Grounding, and a Bookmarker for Fall

A Facebook group I belong to was talking about doing an Autumn Bookmarker. Nothing came of it, but the idea was in my head anyway:

I played with spray paints, glitter glue, Copics and colored pencils.

I had a small silk leaf that I used to trace on one and spray over on the other. I used Betweed, 'nZeppel, and something I can't remember the name of. Sigh.

The Yahoo ZIA Group had us do a tile adding some grounding. I don't often think of doing this, so I thought it would be a good idea to try:

Printemps, 'nZeppel, Static, Flux and Amaze

Well, trying to do a Zentangle lefthanded was quite the challenge, from the Diva. I noted a few things while trying to draw with my non-dominant hand. First, I drew more lightly, second, I drew more slowly. Then, I noticed that I was very tense and un-zentangle like and had to force my shoulders down. Then, I started to wonder if I should try to turn my hand upside down like most lefties do. That didn't work at all. I'm almost embarrassed to post this one:

I though it best to use easy tangles for this one. I used Mooka, Crescent Moon, Flukes, and Pokeroot. Can anyone guess why there is a Bronx Cheer in there HAHA!
