Zentangle® 'Nzeppel and Pixioze,

I am the Diva posted a video of Molly doing "Crazy" 'Nzeppel. Well, as you might imagine, that's just about the only kind I ever do. With the holidays coming up, I got the idea to use a digital image (looks like it may have been retired) from Bugaboo Stamps to make a Christmas card using the "Nzeppel.
I colored it with Copic Markers (greys only) then topped with Spectrum Noir Sparkle. I actually found an ornament hanger in a drawer where I keep special ornaments.

And, from Square One on Facebook, the focus tangle is Pixioze by CZT Margaret Bremner. I do like this one a lot. I paired it with Shattuck and a bit of a sunburst idea on the top.

Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment if you have the time. I truly enjoy reading them.

Zentangle® Shattuck, Akoya, and an Inchie

The challenge over at I am the Diva is to use Shattuck. I went to grab a tile and found this one that I had covered with inks. So, why not? I used a white acrylic paint marker and added shading with black pastel.

Square One, Facebook, requires the use of traditional tiles and black and white. The focus tangle is Akoya by Sandy Hunter, CZT. After I finished that, I really had to do one on a Renaissance round tile.

The prompt word for Every Inchie Monday is "door". I chose to do my favorite door. I'm sure you all know where this door leads!

Zentangle® a Stacker, W2, and an Inchie

Crescent Moon-Msst- Inner Aura
This week over at I Am the Diva Challenge, guest poster, Paula Bramante, CZT, gave us a very interesting challenge this week. Just a bit complicated to explain it all, but do check out the post. I chose to do a stacker. I love the repeated pattern stacks that come from Cindy Angiel over at The Rainbow Elephant. I also love rocks and stones and do collect ones that speak to me.
I used a tag and a brown Sharpie, Microns in brown and sepia, sepia Conte pencil, Pitt Pastel, and Dylusion Inks in Vintage Photo and Rusty hinge.

The focus tangle for Square One this week was W2. I added Shattuck and Quib.
Every Inchie Monday had a prompt word of "texture". Being a mixed media artist, I love texture and have a huge box filled with items to make texture. I chose some sequin waste to do identical inchies. One on black and one on white. I used Gellatos to color some Molding paste and push through the sequin waste to make texture. If you've never seen the messes I can make, do take a peek at my art journaling blog

Zentangle® in Stripes, Opus, and an Inchie

This week, Laura over at I Am the Diva, challenged us to use stripes. Strickles, Shattuck, and Rain filled my stripes.
Square One's focus tangle this week is Opus. I added a bit of rounding to this one.
And, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was Rhythm. Nothing soothes me more than the rhythm of the waves. I even sleep to a CD of the oceans soothing sounds.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you all who leave a comment. I so enjoy reading them!

Zentangle® Rixty, St. Patrick's Day Rainbow, and an Inchie

We are having just a beautiful week here in the outer Phoenix area. Warm with a nice breeze, flowers and trees all in bloom. Perfect weather for going outside to tangle!

The Diva challenged us to get our inspiration from St. Patrick's Day. First, I thought of Shamrocks, no, too many will pick that. Then my thoughts went to mushrooms, no, I did that for my Inchie. How about a leprechaun? Right, me draw a leprechaun? Not happening. So, here is my rainbow:
Msst, Crescent Moon, Meer, Tipple, Static, Shattuck on Neocolor crayon rainbow with Copic for sky and grass.

And, my little Inchie from Every Inchie Monday with the prompt "forest":

And, finally, I had to play with the new tangle pattern from Maria in honor of Rick's 60th birthday called Rixty. I had a very small round piece of paper that I grabbed to play on and thought you might like to see it. At this point, only CZT's are supposed to have access to the step-outs. Find one in your area and take a class. Yes, there are lots of books and videos to learn step-outs, but you've missed out on a lot by not taking a class if you haven't; beside learning why Zentangle is NOT doodling, you will have a lot of fun!
