I taught a class on using a compass to make perfect circles, squares, and triangles to do ZIA's or perfect Zendala's. Here are a couple of my samples:
And, finally, our Inchie was the word "Chocolate". My first thought was the word itself, then a chunk of the delicious stuff, but finally, I liked the idea of a little boy just stuffing himself with a pile of melting chocolate:

ReplyDeleteI have got a bit fed up of hearts though there are some wonderful heart tangles. Love that you've used Dragonair again - it's a great tangle. Your circles are lovely - the circle really lends itself to lovely Zentangles. You've had a great week! Axxx

Thanks, Annemarie. I smiled when I thought of doing him too. I am having an awful time typing because I have my right hand totally bandaged up. Trigger finger from knitting and drawing toooo much. Doctor gave me a cortisone shot and I will know in a few days if it helped. Please, all, remember to rest hour hands!

DeleteI am just getting started with tangles and I appreciate that you give so much of your time to encourage others with your thoughtful comments and then produce such great pieces for us to enjoy. I haven't quite gotten down the names of most tangles, but I think you used Tipple to fill one of your circles... I have a hard time fighting the compulsion to fill in all of the spaces between the tipples, so I love that you show me how pretty a piece can be without blacking it all in. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe were all beginners at one time, so we understand how overwhelming it can be. Remember that there are no mistakes in Zentangle and no "rules" so, fill or don't fill is always your choice. It's always so much fun to BREAK the rules HAHA!
