I finally decided to post the first one I did where I took Ing down the center and then just kind of let it keep exploding. I kind of got a bit lost along the way :) I added a bit of 'Nzeppel to the triangles of the wandering pieces.
The Facebook group, Square One, Purely Zentangle®, had Quib as this week's tangle. I added Courant, Mysteria and Verve
And, again with a request for you to use your imagination, the prompt for this week's Every Inchie Monday was RED. We buy big boxes of Tootsie Roll Pops, but I only eat the red (well, sometimes the brown, but that would ruin my entry!) I am still playing with quilling and my quilling friends should click on the top and go to my Copics and Paper Fun page and see the Christmas tree I quilled. No great at it yet, but having fun learning something new.

DeleteVery lovely take on ING. I haven't been to the diva's page yet, iIve been gone all day. I love your quilled Tootsie Pop. I used to do some quilling awhile back and every now and then will get some of my papers out and make circles (just to keep my fingers in shape:) )..
ReplyDeleteThanks, JL. I think I need a lot more practice with the quilling, but it is fun and something different. I particularly like that I can make flowers to add to my cards without spending a bundle to do so.

DeleteI let my imagination work - but I almost didn't need it for the organic variation. IT's obvious it's a sea creature swiming in a water tank, composed of several happy fishes :)

(Isn't that funny that usually the reds and purples of any kind of candy go first? ) I peeked over at your Copic work and I am just in awe over you shading and use of your colors. Just amazing! (how long does it take for you to complete one card?) Do you use a stamp for your pictures and then color them in ? or are those your own drawings? I love them all! ReplyDeleteThanks, Annette. I love coloring and making cards as much as Zentangle. It probably takes me about three hours to complete a card, but it's a fun three hours. I mostly use stamps but hope to start doing my own some day. I just have to live to 150 to do everything that's on my bucket list!

DeleteI'm impressed with you imaginative use of Ing. I'm afraid I took it much to literally in my response to the challenge. Oh well. Baby steps.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel that you are "wrong" for doing it "right", Suzanne. It takes doing them literally before you should jump off into your own little world. Many artists would never have been taken seriously if they couldn't do traditional art first. The tangles we choose to use for Zentangle do not require any modifications. It's just that you can, if you want.

Oh, Holly. Keep in mind that I am now retired. My days are spent doing things I love like tangling, coloring and such. I agree about wasting time with everyday chores and cooking. Yes, complete waste of time.
