| Cuttlelola Pen |
This week, the Square One Facebook focus tangle is Lollywimple by CZT Sandy Hunter. I let it just wander around the tile rather than line it up. It certainly looks different this way.
And, finally, I will share some color. I used Copic markers and worked in the round using ICanThis and Glace.

Love your "Drawings"!! Great to see it done with the Cuttlelola pen! And Lollywimple is one of my favourite tangles although I don't seem to use it much! Terrific shading with your Copics!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deanne. I have a Zentangle student who loves ZIA's and loves Copics so you will probably see more combos of Copics and Zentangle pop up here. Since I am no longer doing the Inchies, the last item will always be something different.

DeleteYour Drawings tile looks like it can take off any second. The Cuttlelola pen effect produces a completely different, more subtle look. Another day, another art supply. Now, just to find another dollar. ;-)

DeleteYour Drawings flow so effortlessly. It is enviable. The effects of the Cuttlelola pen tile look like the "wings" are floating. What a fun tool!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, Drawings is an easier one for me to do comfortably. It's funny how some are and some really take a lot of practice to get comfortable with. Some are worth the effort since the result will be beautiful, like Mooka was. Thanks for your comment, Maureen.

ReplyDeleteI know it's no longer considered traditional Zentangle once you add color, but I love using color, Miss L! To me, it's really no different than adding shading.

DeleteYour Diva tiles are beautiful, my favorite is the one, made with the Cuttlelola pen, that gives a very special affect that is really attractif.

I find myself kind of amazed at what that Cuttlelola pen can do, Ria. I just wish someone would give me a few extra day each week so I could get more done, LOL!

DeleteGreat tiles all, Jean. I especially like both of the Drawings. I really like doing Drawings; it sort of reminds me of doing Aquafleur, another favorite. And seeing it done with the Cuttlelola Pen makes me want one even more.

ReplyDeleteIt can be dangerous looking at all the fun toys that people have in our groups, especially my Copic and cardmaking groups. I just put everything I see on my wish list on Amazon. Every few weeks, I go through it and if I can't remember why I NEEDED it, I delete it! LOL!

ReplyDeleteI use my Copics daily, Kate. Being on design teams requires doing at least one image per day. I absolutely love my Copics! Tomorrow, I am taking a class, presented by the Copic people themselves, in using Copics to do lettering. Can't wait!

ReplyDeleteYes, Holly. I am taking the Advanced Boot Camp for Copics from Jennifer Dove in May. Yesterday, I took the brand new Lettering class with the Copic people in downtown Phoenix. Great class. We didn't use Copics much, but I know I will use what I learned with Zentangle.
DeleteNice work. Your Drawings has more of a wing effect than mine. I like the one with the stippling pen. I saw a video about them before. Think it was posted on one of the FB pages. Does make for an interesting effect.

DeleteI really like both your Drawings tiles. I love the stippling effect. That would work well just to do some shading. Great fun. And your Lollywimple looks like more fun than the original way to do it. Your ICanThis tile has nice warming colors. Perfect for this time of year. It's not as cold as the midwest here on the Northern California Coast, but it's cold enough for me. And the warm colors really do help me to stay warm. LOL Best wishes from a very rainy California.
