Unbatz by Sandy Hunter, Sez and an Inchie

It's the first Monday of the month, and so the Diva Challenge was to use Unbatz, by CZT Sandy Hunter. This was a fun pattern that allows for many variations, if you're willing to look for them, as you know I always am. I added some Meer, Chartz and Tipple.

The tangle chosen for this week at Square One on Facebook was Sez that I paired with Rain.
And, finally, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was Love. Even I didn't want to mess with love LOL! Just a tiny quilled heart with a jeweled heart.

I appreciate all your comments and try to respond to each one. I apologize to those whose blogs I am unable to visit in return. I seem to run out of time each week. Can anyone else relate?

Zentangle® with Scratch Paper, an Ichie, a Challenge, and some ITSO Cloisonne

Don't run screaming away from this post; there's a lot to see :) It was a busy week, good kind of busy, with lots of tangling. The ones I really had fun doing were some Zendalas done ITSO (in the style of) Cloisonne. (Which I can't remember how to say well, but , oh what fun doing.) I really love these dares and challenges and swaps because they make me do things I would have never thought of doing. This swap is for my Yahoo group, Zentangle Inspired Art. Look up Cloisonne on Google and then make some fun for yourself. I made my own circles and, using a compass, divided the sections. Gel pens were added for the color.

Jetties, Cadent, Cubine, Chartz, Jonqal

For the Weekly Challenge from Laura, we were to use our initials (JC) as a string. I decided to only use tangles that start with my initials as well:

Inchie: for Every Inchie Monday, I wanted to do some kind of medal of honor, but I was so overwhelmed by the intricacies of them that I went back to my school days before "happy faces" were invented and we got a gold star for good work. I, of course, seldom got the gold LOL!
And finally (you still with me?) the group that I meet with monthly did some scratch art together. It is so much fun to work in a group.

I  promise to be lazier this week and not make you look at so much. Well, maybe........

Zendala Dare #76 and Inapod

This week's Dare from Erin and The Bright Owl reminded me of a spoked wagon wheel. Yet, my finished work didn't turn out that way. I wanted to see if I could use Eke. It isn't a favorite, therefore I ignore it. Bad. So, I pushed it into this zendala. I suppose it makes a nice break between the inner lighter pattern and the darker outer pattern. I also used variations of Meer, Dyon, and Chartz.

My Yahoo group Tangle of the Week was to use Inapod. I never use this one either, yet is is a favorite and always makes me smile when I see others use it. Just a bit of modified Mooka added as well. I did this one with black pen on some light blue textured cardstock. Then, I added white pastel for the highlights and Copics for the shadows. I really like this one. (I'll bet that surprises you, my faithful readers, as you already know I am very critical of my own work.) I think it is because it is simple and, usually, I tend to overwork my pieces.
I had another great group of students yesterday. Please check out their work by clicking on the Workshop pages above.
