Zentangle® Squid, Cyme, and an Inchie

The Diva Challenge, #243, was to give "just a tiny taste" of a tangle on your tile. I opened one of my books and randomly chose Squid. I was inspired by Laura's idea of using different colors on the tan Renaissance tiles, so I picked a turquoise pen and added colored pencil, white charcoal and a white gel pen. A bit of Msst was added to draw the eye in just a bit.

The focus tangle on Facebook's Square One was to use Cyme. I filled the center with Auraknot and added Courant and black pearls.

Here is a surprise for Zentangle followers. The prompt word for Every Inchie Monday this week is "nymph"! So, I did a tiny Zentangle pattern that is actually called Nymph for my Inchie. Here are the step-outs for anyone interested.

I'm still running a bit behind. Isn't it amazing how a few days away really makes such a difference? Well, I finally finished Erin's snowflake Zendala from The Bright Owl.  I really had to think about this one. Not too "snowflaky" but fun:
