Zentangle® For Earth Day and an Inchie

Earth Day, also known as Amanda Day. (Do check out the Diva Challenge for an explanation for that one!) I agreed that a round tile seemed appropriate, and I went for growing things, using a stamp, and chose the tangles Bumper and Zinger with an ink sprayed background and Sharpie and Fabrico pens. Let's take care of our earth!

The tangle for this week at Facebook's Square One was Jetties. I added some Static as a background.
And, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was Octopus. Did you know that the octopus has three hearts. More love I suppose :)

Thank you all for stopping by. I love reading your comments!

    1. Thank you, Diane. I was looking for a different way to do Jetties so I just inverted the dark and the light.

  5. Excellent tile for Earth Day. The media sounds complicated, but the result is soothing. And thanks for the octopus factoid---seriously, they have 3 hearts? Who knew? ;-)

    1. Thank you, Suzanne. No, super easy to do or I wouldn't be doing it LOL! I did a bit of hunting looking for something interesting about the octopus as I don't really have any affection for them!

  6. Oh my, Jean, that earth day tile is breathtaking! Octs apparently have 9 brains as well. Who invented them?!

    1. Nine brains!!!! Goodness that must really be confusing Maybe they need one for each leg and one as a spare?

    1. Thanks, Annemarie. Once you start adding color, and are no longer really doing Zentangle, then why not add stamps, or anything else for that matter. It was fun.

    1. Thanks and you're welcome, Ilse. We are so hard on ourselves. It's an effort not to be, but we need to remember that Zentangle is really about the process, not the finished piece anyway :)

    1. Many thanks, Sandra. Jetties is usually done white with a black band. Probably a better choice since you use less ink that way!
