CZT Bound and Dare #61

This will be the last Dare from Erin at The Bright Owl for a bit. I will be on my way early Tuesday to go to Rhode Island to become a CZT. I am about to burst with excitement. Lucky for us that we have friends who just move right into our house when we go anywhere. Without them, we could never go anyplace. We have a big loving dog, Rufus; a slightly aloof kitty, Charlie; and a sweet cockatiel named Jasmine. They get so spoiled when we're gone that they hardly miss us. (Well, the way Rufus knocks us down when we come in the door says to me we might be missed just a little.) My hubby will drive me the whole way and back because he just loves a good old road trip; and, since I am a knitter and spinner as well, I will be amused the whole way. I will tell you all about it when I get back!
Here is Dare #61 where I "tried" to do Flukes, and I tried to do Boomerangs. Boomerangs would't work in the space I had, so I'm not sure what I got, but it's certainly not Boomerangs. LOL

Hollibaugh and Neluma Fun

Roy, from Mindful Creations, asked us to use Hollibaugh for this week's adventure. I thought I would play with an outer section and then fill in the inner parts. I was surprised to see I had, kind of, drawn a star. It was not intentional as I probably couldn't have done one if I had tried!

I also worked on a really fun tangle by Patti Meijer called Nelumba. I backed it with some Neuron. and then went around it with Nelumba again:
This is really a fun pattern.  Give it a try!

Early on Thursday. Lots to Share.

It's only Thursday, but I have so much to share that I thought I would jump in early this week. Now that I am finally retired, you may have to look at more "stuff" from me!

Roy's Adventures in Monotangle from Mindful Creations this week is Shard. He thought it would be nice to do some straight lines. Well, I just finished doing some grids and was sort of tired of straight lines, so I had to "bend the rules" a bit:

Here are a few of those grids that I worked on:

 No ruler used here HAHA!!!
Thought I'd play with different circles.
Sunray
Hopscotch

Jalousie
Knase
'Nzeppel

Beeline
Flukes
Puf
Blankett
Bubbles

A Yahoo trade was to do ATCs on black. I chose to use some Slicci pens. They work so nicely on black. I then added some white dots with a Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen. Can you see the Inapod there? Then, I sprayed all with Perfect Pearls Mist.

Sundoo

Fengle           Msst         Raindotty
Finally, I wanted to play with my Copic and Spectrum Noirs around some colored pencils. I traced some flower pictures and went from there:

Aura-Leah
Verve

Auraknot
Barberpole
Shattuck

(Can you tell that I am trying to learn the names of the tangles that I do and that I am trying to use new ones all the time?)

Dare 60 or 24, Verve, Zen Rocks

Another great day with the monthly tangle group. We worked on doing tangles on rocks.  What a great idea. Do use heavy duty markers though:

Finished embroidering Rick's Paradox with white on a black t-shirt. I'll wear it at the CZT training:
For Roy's monotangle this week at Mindful Creations, we worked with Verve. I thought it would be fun to do Verve in Verve:
And, finally, for Erin's Dare at The Bright Owl, we were to do a dare that we had previously completed and either didn't like what we did or had a problem with it. Since I am kind of new to the party, I randomly chose #24 (for my birthday) and challenged myself to use only tangles that I had never used before (or remembered doing) except for the center where I think I was just getting tired:
