Zendala Dare #109

Erin gave us a delightful template to use this week for The Zendala Dare. It was one of those templates that didn't speak to her for a long time. I'm glad it finally did because that's what a challenge is all about, right?
I really enjoyed the odd edge and turned it into a frame of Emingle. I love the star in the center. Do print this one up and play. It's a fun one to do.

    Oh yeah! Love the Emingle for that awkward edge! And your centre star is terrific - it looks like a pinwheel just waiting for a breeze! Nicely done!

    Amazing! I like the way you integrated the small"diamonds" from the template into the whole. So neat and logical.

      Thank you, Nevena. I was so very tempted to fill those diamonds in black. I kept going back to them and holding my pen over them to fill and finally forced myself not to do it. I agree with you and think it was the right thing to do (or, rather, not do LOL!)

    I agree with the pinwheel and the emingle. Very nice. I also like the use of pen and pencil for darkening the lines. It's a nice contrast with the white

      Thanks, Carolyn. I am finding myself adding more black to tangles these days. I have always loved shading. It's kind of my dessert treat :)

      Thanks, Christiane. When my son was going on a first date, many years ago, he asked if he should bring flowers or candy. I told him to bring a pinwheel and he would learn a lot :)

    Like you, Jean, I LOVE the star in the center. I also like the dark lines in the zendala, that brings great contrast.
