Zentangle® Rautyflex

The Diva was a day late in posting, so here is Challenge #258 with a "use my tangle" from CZT Kathrin Bendel called Rautyflex. I must admit that this one was quite the challenge for me. I used fine line Sharpies and Inktense watercolor pencils.
If you were looking for my regular Monday post, click here. You can see a gem tile, the Square One focus tile and the Inchie for this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

    1. I can see where this could go many ways, Cheryl. It reminds me of those geometric coloring book pages where each person could find a different way to work with the design.

  2. Hello Jean!
What a fun twist to Rautyflex! I can't say I've mastered this one, I can't remember anything past the second step :P

    1. I went through sooo many pages of trying to get this one down. This one is a bit complex and I don't see it going into my teaching rotation. I do have some students though who would love this and find it easy. We do have to accept our own limits sometimes though :)

  3. Your tile presents Rautyflex in a way I never imagined. I found this tangle to be quite challenging, so I was too afraid to deviate from the original pattern. Impressive.

    1. Once you have the pattern actually completed, if you scrunch up your eyes you can see many different sections that you can make the focal point, Suzanne. Thanks for the thumbs up on this one. I almost thought I would never get it done LOL!

  4. I also had to try many times before I could draw it. It is a difficult tangle, but a nice one and with these bright colours you have made a nice tile!

    1. I think many of us had to have more than one try with this one, Ria. However, it is a lot of fun once you get it. Thank you :)

    1. Thanks, Melissa. I agree, it would be a good fabric pattern. I'll bet there are a lot of tangle patterns that would work for fabric.

    1. Well, that image certainly brought back memories, Antonine. We should spend an afternoon watching for images in the clouds. Oh, I forgot, we don't have clouds LOL!

    1. I felt pretty good about even being able to finally complete it, Ilse. Then, of course, I had to try to find something "different" to do with it. LOL!

  14. I really like how your Rautyflex turned out. I was almost afraid to try this one after everyone said how hard it is. But I found it not that bad at all. Yes, we are all different. There are others that people say are easy that I just kind get! LOL I finally got mine up today. I did something very different. I'm glad I didn't look at what other people did first though. I might have not posted it.

    1. I have trouble sewing a sleeve into a dress. I think some tangles are a visual challenge for some minds. Kind of like math can be challenging for some. Yes, I agree, never look until complete. I will go right over to see what you've come up with :)

    1. There are two or three of what I already call "challenging" and this will be added. I have a few students who just love these and I will teach those tangle to them. However, this is not one that will be in my normal rotation of tangles to use or teach. I love the way it looks, buy it is too frustrating for me to consider it a simple and relaxing tangle, Daniele. So, yes, simple this week LOL!
