As it is the first Monday of the month, I am the Diva has given us a Use My Tangle from Daniel Lamonthe called Dreamcatcher. Fun and easy tangle to expand upon. I chose to round my edges and then began to play within the shapes. Some Tagh crept in and then a few angular leaves.
I used Prismacolors and a brown Micron on a Renaissance tile.
Square One, Facebook, has a focus tangle of Florez by Andrea Shaman. Another fun tangle to play with.
And, finally, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt word is Dinosaur. Hard to fit a dinosaur on a one inch piece of paper so I selected the Microraptor found in China that was only 16" in size and thought to be the smallest dinosaur. It lived in trees and had several birdlike features. Since no one really knows what colors dinosaurs were, no selfies, I took some liberties!
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!
Two lovely tiles and a fun inchie!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kate!
DeleteLike your choice of colors for your 'dreamcatcher".
ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan. I have to admit that I often choose colors by which ones happen to be still on my workspace LOL!
DeleteBeautiful tiles, great job! I love Florez.
ReplyDeleteAnd your little blue dinosaur? Wonderful!!
Joyce
Thanks, Joyce! I thought it was a good color for a dinosaur that lived in trees :)
DeleteI love your quirky inchie and the two lovely tiles
ReplyDeleteVal, thanks for the kind comments!
DeleteWel if they weren't really blue, I bet they would have wanted to be. Your Florez is lovely - one of my favourite patterns.
ReplyDeleteI figured that if bluebirds are blue, then maybe dinosaurs that lived in trees might be blue as well. Or, red would have been good too. I like Florez too. It's a pretty pattern to use.
DeleteVery, very Beautiful. Al of them. Awesome Florez
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carmela!
DeleteLove the coloured art piece and the other one as well.
ReplyDeleteA very well drawn inchie as well
Love Chrissie x
Thanks, Chrissie. Good thing I didn't post the first dinosaur that I drew LOL! It was pretty bad. At least it's easy to do a second drawing when it is only one inch!
DeleteI already saw these on FB and i must say I LOVE them both.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annemarie. You are such a good supportive friend!
Deleteyou always give us the most interesting information - who knew there was a 16" dino! well done and love the colour
ReplyDeleteI'm always on the lookout for something "odd" to do with the Inchie, so that's when I come across weird information. I wasn't able to find much really different to use with the word dinosaur though, Kia. Maybe next week LOL!
DeleteThe Diva tile is really pretty. I love the colors you used!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Dorita!
DeleteAdore your inchie and the dreamcatcher is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Freebird!
DeleteA very nice dreamcatcher with such beautiful cheerful colors.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white Square tile is uncomplicated but lovely, I 'm fond of this Florez that I haven't seen before.
And your Ichie, every time again, a smile comes on my face, such a funny dinosaure!
Thank you, Ria. At first I couldn't see anything but 'Nzepple with the step outs for Florez, but that's not so at all. I like it too. Actually, I may even use it in my class tomorrow :)
DeleteBoth are very beautiful, love the color!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mariet :)
DeleteA nice floral feel this week Jean!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Suse!
DeleteWonderful ideas :-) Gudrun S.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gudrun :)
DeleteLove your tiles,Jean.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Pat!
DeleteGorgeous work Jean! That Dreamcatcher is outstanding;-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Michele!
DeleteLove your tiny dinosaur, I could cope with one that size. Your tangles are great as well.
ReplyDeleteOnly if you could housebreak them though, Wendy LOL!
DeleteGreat Dreamcatcher tile Jean! I love how you put that together. Reminds me of a Camelia. I don't know Florez, but it is very pretty - so smooth and curvy. And your Inchie dinosaur is absolutely so cute. I've heard about the small dinosaurs but didn't know they were that small. It's great that you can learn about these things and pass that knowledge on to us.
ReplyDeleteI don't always, well, probably never, know where my tangles are going to take me. But this one decided that it wanted to be floral in nature so I just let it go. I actually enjoy doing the inchies for just that reason, Melena. Great way to find out something that I might never have even thought of wanting to know!
DeleteLove the colours you chose for the works this week. Blue dinosaurs? Why not? We weren't around, so hard to tell (though my children think I should have seen a few). I found my copper; still looking for your earrings! c
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you found your copper, Cheryl. When you find the earrings, you know where to send them. Right to Tangle Street :)
DeleteSuch a pretty dreamcatcher on the on Renaissance tile. I almost see a succulent type plant in your design with the rounded edges:) Great blossoming inchie tile and cute little dino too! I want to try Renaissance tiles more often, I think I avoid them:) I like yours, maybe I will give it a go with some prismacolor pencils too.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like the Renaissance tiles at all in the beginning and avoided them as well, Jill. They are softer and the feel is so different. I use an 05 Micron instead of the 01 and it just loves colored pencils and pastel pencils.
DeleteBeautiful work! Love them both! Especially your yellow dreamcatcher.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Anja!
DeleteI love how you've incorporated the pattern into this flower! Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melissa.
DeleteBeautiful tiles all...I love the tangle Florez and I love your Inchie!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Dragonfly :)
DeleteI like how you rounded the edges of Dreamcatcher. It really opened up the possibilities for filling. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. Guess I was in a kind of floral mood this week :)
DeleteFlorez - that's an interesting tangle not seen that one before but executed beautifully and love your tiny dinosaur - I had no idea there were any that small though I shouldn't be surprised!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny!
