Saturday, I did a presentation at the Appaloosa library in Scottsdale, Coloring and Zentangle for Seniors. It was a lot of fun and very successful. If you missed the first one, and are a senior living in Scottsdale, I will be doing a second presentation on October 20th at the Civic Center Library. Do call and reserve a spot as they are almost full.
Square One, Facebook, has a focus tangle of Oshun, by Sandy Steen Bartholomew. I placed it in the corners and then allowed Quib to grow from each side.
Every Inchie Monday's word is Direction.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose." Dr. Seuss
From Oh, the Places You'll Go! I never tired of reading any of Dr. Seuss' wisdom to my children. (This is from the cover.) If you've never read it, you should. Excerpts.
Thank you for stopping by. I will post the Diva Challenge tomorrow. Hope to see you again then.
Dr Suess is one of my favs too - good idea for your inchie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kia. I was happy to be reminded of this positive message from the great Dr. Seuss!
DeleteThat has certainly taken me in a different direction lol!
ReplyDeleteSally
LOL, Sally :)
DeleteYou are so inventive. Such great artwork and a wonderful inchie. Just popped to the link and have it bookmarked-thank you for that
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
I loved all those books and the ones from Shel Silverstein and Maurice Sendak. Great words and drawings. Oh, and all the Winnie the Pooh!
DeleteI love the Dr. Seuss books. In fact, I think I've got "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" in my bookcase somewhere. I'll read it every now and then. I think I got it when I got my niece some of those books many years ago. And so I really love that inchie. Brings back memories. I never ran across Oshun before. I like it and it looks pretty simple. You incorporated Quib in there very nicely. If I lived anywhere near Scottsdale, I'd sign up for that class. Sounds like fun. Alas, I'm way up here on the Northern California coast. We are looking forward to our first good rain for the season starting on Thursday. Thank goodness!! We really need it.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so delightful to get to meet you, Melena! Maybe someday :)
Deletelove both pieces! The tangle is so cool, gives me ideas for beadwork! and the inchie is so colorful and cool
ReplyDeleteNow, that would be fun to bead. I can't wait to see what you come up with Freebird!
DeleteGreat idea for your niche, love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wendy!
