This week is a Use My Tangle over at The Diva Challenge. This one, Eaxy, comes from Nadine Roller, CZT. I just got a new set of Lavender Copic Multiliners and had to play. I used Paizel, by Angie Vangalis, CZT, in the front and added some colored pencils as well on the Renaissance tile.
The prompt tangle for Square One, Facebook, is Fassett. I divided the tile into four sections to try different ways to do the tangle.
And, Every Inchie Monday has a prompt word of Cloud. Sorry to do this to you, but I just couldn't get the idea of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs out of my head even though I've never seen the movie LOL!
Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy reading your comments!
Paizel is a nice choice to fill and surround by the lovely but (for me) difficult pattern Eaxy but you did a good job and I like the colours. Fassett is more easy to draw and one of my favorites, It's a splendid idea to divide the tile in different sections with variations of the tangle, I like this tile also very much. I don't know" cloudy with a chance of meatballs", but when that is a name of a film, I understand why you have chosen for this special drawing!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I had ever done Paizel before. It was one of those, open and point, selections. I love to do that! As a teacher, I have found that this kind of tangle can be very difficult for some. It made me just a tad crazy. I could do it fine by itself, but with something added, not so much! Good thing there are lots of different types of tangles to choose from.
DeleteLoL - that is a very funny inchie. Brilliant. Thank you for participating at Every Inchie Monday.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trillian. It's always fun to try to come up with something different or fun.
DeleteThis Diva tile is a lovely mix of colours and the idea of using just the two paytterns works really well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Margaret. I can't even imagine how confused I would get if I tried to add even more patterns :)
DeleteLove your inchie with a different, and great tangles again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wendy. This one was fun to do for sure LOL!
Deletetrying to remember if I;ve seen the meatballs movie or not -- good idea
ReplyDeleteI think you would remember if you ever saw anything that silly, Kia. I'm thinking that maybe I should watch it now HaHa!
DeleteZippity do dah, your EAXY looks so delicate!
ReplyDeleteI wish it had been a bit more zippity, Shelly. This one gave me just a bit of a breakdown :) Must try it again someday though.
DeleteAmazing art as always and such a crazy clouds inchie--you always amaze me
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
I can't say that I've ever drawn meatballs before, Chrissie. Always fun to try something different :)
DeleteSuch a beautiful tile Jean! I love it how you combined Paizel with eaxy and that you have played with lavender colours! Great job and gorgeous tile!!
ReplyDeleteThanh you so much for sharing and giving eaxy a try..... best wishes from Cologne, Nadine
I don't know how you ever deconstructed this one, Nadine. You are a brave soul, LOL! I'm loving how easy others make it look. There are several tangles that make my brain spin though. Guess all our brains think differently, but it's always good to try.
DeleteVery nice tiles :-) I like your variations of Fassett!
ReplyDeleteFunny inchie ;-)
Thanks, Sandra!
DeleteOnce again a twist on clouds - love it! And your zentangles are really interesting - don't know those tangles great.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny!
DeleteWow, I love the golden glow you gave Eaxy on top of the tile. It also looks like Eaxy is an easy patten to you!
ReplyDeletePurple just seems to go with yellow, like Easter, Ilse. No, not really easy, but I muddled through :)
DeleteGreat tiles! I remember reading "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" to my kids when they were little. I never saw the movie version though.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was a book too. Interesting, Dorita!
DeleteBeautiful tiles, great Diva, without loosing the "Dread'like me ;-)))
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to push ahead, Carmela LOL!
DeleteGreat tile with wonderful colours :-) Gudrun S.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gudrun!
DeleteAll pieces are beautiful! My favorite is your diva tile. I love how you combined Eaxy and the wonderful color!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Anja!
DeleteLove your diva challenge tile. The purple and yellow so striking. Had to laugh at your meatballs! :)
ReplyDeleteAlways happy to hear that someone got a little chuckle, Kate :)
DeleteI confess I'm still laughing about meatballs!
ReplyDeleteSally
It would be funny wouldn't it?
DeleteYou did very well Jean!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annemarie :)
DeleteAll are wonderful, Jean! Especially I like your tile with Eaxy! Great idea to Eaxy as the background for Paizel! Lovely colours as well
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Annette!
DeleteGreat Jean. Your eaxy tile is wonderful. You managed to do the tangle really well!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your kind comment, Didisch :)
DeleteVery beautiful background with Eaxy !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chantal!
DeleteYour Easy exudes so much lightness and joy, I like it so much.
ReplyDeleteSo kind of you to say so, Ela!
DeleteI love all your art work (always do, as you are so talented), but laughed out loud at your inchie. I haven's seen the movie yet, but love reading the book to my class! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad I could make you laugh Cathy :)
DeleteI'm very impressed by your "Eaxy". I have yet to master it, but Dieana Schreur shared different step outs for it which I am having less trouble with. Fassett is one of my favorite tangles for exactly the reason you demonstrated in your tile.
ReplyDeleteI will have to check that out, Suzanne. I could use an easier way too!
DeleteGreat Eaxy tile Jean. That Paisel is really nice. I've used it a few times but never thought to make it bigger like that. Love it. I really lie Fassett too. Nice to use the different variations like that. Good idea. And your meatballs are funny. I never saw that movie nor read the book. I think I heard of it though. Wonderful art work all around.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to see everyone's work this week, Melena. I will write about it later on this week's post, but I enjoyed seeing many creative uses of these tangles earlier in the week.
DeleteGorgeous colors on your Diva tile. Paisley works so well with Eaxxy here!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of those "point and use" tangles, Jennifer. Sometimes those work and others, well, not so much :)
