I am the Diva posted a video of Molly doing "Crazy" 'Nzeppel. Well, as you might imagine, that's just about the only kind I ever do. With the holidays coming up, I got the idea to use a digital image (looks like it may have been retired) from
Bugaboo Stamps to make a Christmas card using the "Nzeppel.
I colored it with Copic Markers (greys only) then topped with Spectrum Noir Sparkle. I actually found an ornament hanger in a drawer where I keep special ornaments.
And, from
Square One on Facebook, the focus tangle is
Pixioze by CZT Margaret Bremner. I do like this one a lot. I paired it with Shattuck and a bit of a sunburst idea on the top.
Thanks for stopping by. Leave me a comment if you have the time. I truly enjoy reading them.
I love what you did with Crazy 'Nzeppel Jean. What a great idea. I love how it fits on the ornament so well. Hmmmm, I wonder if I could do this on an actual ornament. I may get to that soon. And your Pixieose are so much fun. I like how you used them in the sunburst idea at the top. I haven't used that tangle much, but now that I see this I may add it to my next tile. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of those ideas that popped up in my thoughts while I was in the shower. That's were I go to think about Zentangle since I am too easily distracted by things otherwise. I think that a lot of people tangle on Christmas ornaments, its worth trying at least. Always a joy to read your comments, Melena!
DeleteI'm impressed not only by your Tangle but that you are thinking ahead to Christmas! WTG
ReplyDeleteAs a cardmaker, Trudi, I am part of design teams. We start working on Christmas early so my thoughts were already there. Right now, I'm coloring some quite complicated cookie making scenes for cards for my four sons. That was our favorite Christmas tradition.
DeleteThat is super neat and sad because winter will
ReplyDeleteBe here soon. Then happy because I can ask for more supplies. Never enough art supplies lol
I know, Tara. I love the summer, especially because I live where it is quite hot and I prefer the heat. But, one can never have too many supplies though :)
DeleteLove your beautiful Christmas card! 'Nzeppel fits perfectly!
ReplyDeleteYour Pixioze tiles looks pretty too: I see some funny rainbow ;-)
Ah,Ilse, I had to scroll back up and look. Yes, a rainbow. Now I NEED to color it!
DeleteLovely ornament card Jean, and I love the way you did your square one tile.
ReplyDeleteCool idea on the ornament, Jean. I like the way your crazy 'nzeppel came out.
ReplyDeleteCopic markers are so nice to color with, Pat, so I always enjoy combining them with tangles when I can.
DeleteI still haven't gotten my head around Halloween and Thanksgiving, so I'm impressed that you're already well into your Christmas preparations. N'Zeppel looks great on the ornament. It gives it textured looking decoration.
ReplyDeleteWell, I may make all those cards in advance, Suzanne, but then I forget to mail them. HaHa! I am definitely in the same boat as the absent minded professor.
DeleteWow, that idea is worth stealing :-)
ReplyDeleteSteal away, Annemarie :)
DeleteYou are very early with Christmas, but its beautiful even as your Pixiose tile
ReplyDeleteYes, Carmela, it is early for Christmas, but not for cardmakers. It can take several days to create a card sometimes, so we must start early.
DeleteWow, I love the effect of how n'zeppel looks like real smooth stones glued to the ornament!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Heike. I am currently loving working with the color gray. You will see something else here next week with the gray.
DeleteJean, such a wonderful idea! Your Crazy 'nzeppel is fantastic. I love the shading! Best wishes from Cologne, Nadine
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nadine. I love that you add where you are from. Amazing how we connect with so many lovely people all over the world who share our interest. I wish I could meet every one of you!
DeleteA wonderful unique christmas card with very nice N'zeppel!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Malerisches!
DeleteI'm fond of your original Christmas card and your tile with Pixiose looks great too. I love the way you have drawn Pixose totally different on the two sides of a very nice Shattuck!!!
ReplyDeleteI always appreciate your kind comments, Ria. Thank you!
DeleteYour tile with 'NZeppel puts a smile on my face! It will. Ecome a nice X-mascard!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it made you smile, Anita. Thank you!
DeleteCool Yule-card!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer. I just may make more of these, with different tangles of course!
DeleteThank you, Lily!
ReplyDeleteOH, these are great! That ornament hanger is just the right touch!
ReplyDeleteIt is good that I don't clean up my Christmas stuff totally each year, Betsy, LOL! Thanks!
