Over at the Diva Challenge, the guest post comes from CZT Lee Darter. She suggested a theme of Circul Life with tangles of Cack, Tropicana, and either Florz, LinQ, or Fescu for the third ring of the three ring circul. I chose LinQ and let the swirlies migrate to the other tangles as well.
Square One, Facebook, had us reviewing Hollibaugh, to which I added Xircus.
And, finally, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was "energy." I did not have the energy to be more creative, so I chose kinetic energy that changes the wind into mechanical power. I need a windmill in my mind. Hummm, I think there's a song about that LOL!
Thank you, all, that stop by to visit. I really enjoy your comments :)
That's a nice, happy Diva tile with great shading!
ReplyDeleteHollibaugh and Xircus go very well together too.
Finally, being Dutch, I love your tiny windmill ;-)
Thank you, Ilse. I visited Holland when I was a teenager and we didn't see any windmills. I was really disappointed. But, they had the best tiny little popsicles :)
DeleteWonderful artwork and a very nice idea for your inchie
ReplyDeleteLove Chrissie xx
Thanks so much, Chrissie!
DeleteOh this is a nice one with a real 'circusfeeling'!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kreanimo :)
DeleteYou integrated the 3 tangles in a joyful looking circus tile that made me smile and kept my eye moving. Fun and nice.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your always kind comments, Suzanne :)
DeleteI love, love, love the way you wrapped Tropicana upside down. It's just amazing!
ReplyDeleteLee Darter
Well, Lee, that's one of the fun parts of Zentangle; there's no up or down :) Thanks!
Deleteboth tiles are beautiful, i love the diva tile
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ulrike!
DeleteLove the Diva tile! I never thought of windmills for energy, so good one.
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks, but your Popeye was a stroke of genius, Zoe!
DeleteEvery week I'm amazed by the variety of ideas you come up with. This week, it's the Hollibaugh one that strikes a chord, although how you squeezed a windmill and the wind onto an Inchie i just do not know!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. I kind of like the way that Hollibaugh grows myself. I used to wonder about those inchies, but I do really easy ones. You need to go take a look at the magnificent pieces that other people do in that tiny space!
Delete"Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel/ Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel,,," I LOVE that song (by Dusty
ReplyDeleteSpringfield) and know a lot of the words - I'm always singing it to myself. Love the way the wind is blowing on the windmill. Great inchie this week.
Don't you love/hate it when a song just won't go away? Thanks, Kia :)
DeleteAnd now the song is going around my mind, Brainworm we call them. Clever interpretation of the Circus challenge, the linqs looks like banners on top of the Big Top.
ReplyDeleteBrainworm Huh? Never heard that one before. Always something new to learn :)
Deletelove all the tiles, great work, I also love the windmill, so colorful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Freebird :)
DeleteNever saw a windmill when visiting Holland? Poor you!
ReplyDeleteI like your cheerful Diva tile.
I know!!! Isn't that sad? We did see one in Belgium though on our way from the train. So, it almost counted LOL! When I win the lottery, and I come to visit you, you can show me some! Thanks, Annemarie :)
DeleteSuch detail. Your circus looks like fun. Your windmill looks like more like brooms to me. Maybe it's because I keep thinking of the floors that need sweeping but I'm enjoying everyones work instead. Oh well there is always tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell, Lianne, I suppose most of us could stand to shut down our computers and iPads for just a bit and get some housework done..... NOT LOL!
DeleteI love the art & also the song "windmills of my mind" from Thomas Crown Affair!
ReplyDeleteSally
Thanks, Sally :) Hope your humming along!
DeleteVery nice! I d like the idea of the other tangle finding its way into the Tropicana. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny, for stopping by and leaving me such a nice comment!
DeleteFabulous inchie Jean
ReplyDelete. You have managed to get us all singing the song now.
I know, Wendy! Isn't it just annoying? LOL!
Deleteboth tiles are really very nice! The DIVA is very dynamic - real circus!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Simone :)
DeleteA super creative week, Jean. Love all your work here - particularly the circus one. So glad you chose kinetic energy too. And I'm singing....:-)
ReplyDeleteAxxx
I really would have loved to do a drawing of myself, with no energy, but I haven't the talent LOL! Thanks, Annie!
DeleteI like your diva-tile, it is so dynamic. And your windmill-energy-inchie is great! Love it :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Sandra :)
DeleteAll three are beautiful tiles :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lily!
DeleteLovely, Jean :) I really enjoyed your Hollibaugh interpretation.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Helen!
DeleteIt is such a pleasure to see my pattern used. Thank you for this gift at this time in my life. You are a Rock Star! Love the rest as always!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely tangle, Kate. You are kind to have shared it with us all.
DeleteJean, this is wonderful!! I think it is one of the rides that is at the fair with the circus!! So vibrant!! Your others are lovely also!
