The Diva's guest, Cari Sultanik, CZT, requested organic tangles today. I chose Pendrills, Antidots (Anita Rob-Lavery), and Cat-Kin (Mimi Lempart). Check out everyone's tangles.
Facebook's focus tangle this week, is Eye-Wa to which I added Hurry and Msst.
Just for fun, my friend Amy, a new CZT (do go visit her blog,) gave me one of her prestrung Zendalas to play with.
And, Every Inchie Monday had a prompt word of "yellow." How much I dislike yellow jackets, or wasps as they are called locally. Here is a yellow jacket in a yellow jacket, so not quite so scary LOL!
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!
Just love your bee, even though he doesn't look very clever. Great tangles as well
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wendy :)
Deleteyour yellow jacketted yellow jacket is awesome. I rather dislike them too, but yours is cute. love his expression
ReplyDeleteSometimes it helps when you make things that you don't like very much look "cute"! Like spiders and zombies LOL! Thanks, Kia :)
DeleteYou and a bee as well :):):):) Love it, love it, love it! That mandala is stunning!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Zoe :)
DeleteI mean a wasp. Same difference - I freak from either.
ReplyDeleteMe too,
DeleteMy goodness you've had a busy Monday, quite beautifully productive.
ReplyDeleteOnly did the Diva tile today, Beverly. The others were done during the week and I just post them at the same time. I wish I could accomplish that much in one morning though.
DeleteThere are several patterns here that I have never tried., your pieces are always fun!
ReplyDeleteYukari, I do try to use different tangles when I can. I'm not sure I have used those organic tangles much myself even though I like them!
DeleteYou did so very well with the challenge tile. I like the shadowed parts between the tangles.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annemarie. I really thought a bit about shading this time. Normally, I sense immediately where the shading should be, but this time I wasn't sure right away.
DeleteAdorable bee, I am not a fan either. Me and my daughter got attacked years ago by wasps. Had to go to the hospital, they stopped counting at 40-60 stings and my daughter, who was 4 at the time had between 20-30 stings. So for sure I am not a big fan. But yours is adorable
ReplyDeleteOh, my, that's terrible. It just happened to one of our friends in Texas last month too. Just frightening!
DeleteSweet bee :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the shading and choice of patterns on your Diva tile!
Thanks, Ilse :) I love seeing your work over at Instagram.
DeleteBeautiful work this week! Wonderful your Pendrills and I do love your zendala which its soft movement!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lonetta. I don't know why I never think of using Pendrills. They're kind of fun, like Rixty.
DeleteI love your Zendala~
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stepahnie!
DeleteDiva challenge is really nice. It fits together well. Love the bee too! Sarah.
ReplyDeleteI had two tangles on each side, Sarah, and it really looked odd until I thought to add Cat-Kin. That tied the two tangles together and made it work in a Hollibaugh way.
DeleteAll of these are lovely and my fav. is the Zendala but the little wasp is too cute :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lily. I haven't done a Zendala in ages. It was nice to do one again.
DeleteCute bee ( or is it a wasp!?) nice diva challenge too :)
ReplyDeleteWasp, Joanne, but it could be a bee just as easily :) Thanks!
DeleteJean, your organic is lovely!! As is yours others too :) The zendala is quite something!! Glad you got the chance!!

Thanks, Diane. I know The Zendala Dare is up and running again, but I'm reluctant to add something else back on my plate. You know how that is LOL!
DeleteI loooooooooove your organic tile! (You knew I would cuz you know I am totally addicted to organic tangles!) I like all the white in the Zendala; reminds us to say enough is enough!
ReplyDeleteThought you might LOL! Yes, it's hard to say "enough"!
DeleteJean your tiles are super!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Cheryl :)
DeleteGreat tiles & I had a giggle at your "yellow jacket" I confess I've never really seen a useful purpose for wasps, they are mean & I react very badly to their stings - in my book, the only good wasp is a dead one!
ReplyDeleteSally
I always wonder at the creation of such things and think that, perhaps, one day they will be useful for the cure of something awful. Kind of like the dinosaurs making oil so we could drive cars?
DeleteOn your first tile i like its composition, the balance between the clear et dark zones. Nice !
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Christine :)
DeleteLovely tiles, especially the Zendala is great :-)
ReplyDeleteYour inchie is very funny!
Thank you, Sandra!
DeleteGreat tiles, all of them. The yellow jacket is fun - love the look on it's face! I like that you used Pendrils in the Diva challenge - looks great!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue. I always enjoy playing with a tangle that I forget to use. I often just randomly pick tangles.
Deletei like all your tiles, beautiful work and your inchie is so cute ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ulrike!
DeleteYay for Amy and yay for Zendalas! So much fun :) I loved the 'dala best
ReplyDelete<3
Yes, YAY for Amy, Debbie! LOL! Aren't I lucky that she lives close by and we get to see each other now and then? I'm sure glad you got to meet her. You really need to take a trip to see the Grand Canyon, and on the way stop by to see us some day :)
DeleteLove your organic tile!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy!
DeleteLovely! Good choice of tangles for the organic challenge :) helen
ReplyDeleteThank you, Helen, and thanks for dropping by :)
DeleteGetting around late to commenting on this challenge. Like your combination of organic tiles. Must admit though I am a little surprised that you did not use Mooka. Like your yellow jacket. Does not looking menacing at all.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice to hear from you, Donald! You should be proud that I didn't grab Mooka since it is my go to when thinking organic. I'm not surprised that you expected it though LOL! I really took some time searching out organic tangles that I seldom use for this one!
