The Challenge, #282, over at I am the Diva, is to "Spill It". I tried coffee, but I must brew it very week as you could hardly see it. So I grabbed a bottle of Distress Ink in Antique Linen and off I went. I used the tangles Jesterz by Julia Ross, Laced by Mary Elizabeth Martin, CZT, and Jelly Roll by Suzanne McNeill, CZT.
Square One, Facebook, has a focus tangle of A-Dalpha by Bunny Wright, CZT. I added the new tangle Trangle by Jody Genouvese, CZT.
And the prompt for Every Inchie Monday is Petunia. My apologies to Petunia Pig and all I can say about that is: Th-Th-Th-That's all Folks!
Thanks for stopping by. I truly enjoy reading and responding to each of your comments!
Great!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carmela :)
DeleteThe Diva's challenge: Drama is going on !😍
ReplyDeleteMaybe just a tad bolder than coffee, Anita :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteFascinating artwork as always the spill it is wonderful you way you did it.
ReplyDeleteA really fun inches and something very different from mine for sure
Love Chrissie xx
It's fun to do "spills" as you never know what will happen, Chrissie.
DeleteYour tiles are both very beautiful and I LOVE the little pig.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Annemarie. Sometimes I even make myself laugh when I look back at my inchies. You'll never see my work in a museum but I certainly enjoy doing it LOL!
DeleteTwo nice but different tiles this week Jean. I like the way how you spilled on the first one and on the second one I like how you used the new pattern Trangle and nice contrasts too. Always lovely are your funny Ichies and that is also this week!
ReplyDeleteThat new tangle, Trangle, is really a lot of fun. Now if I can just remember to use it. So many wonderful tangles and so little time :) Thanks, Ria!
DeleteYou're art always makes me smile. What a good idea to substitute distress ink for light coffee. Love the new tangle A-dalpha and Petunia is a cutie pie.
ReplyDeleteMission accomplished then, Jill. Thanks so much :)
DeleteInteresting look with the distress ink. I enjoyed your tiles!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen!
Deletethat's twice recently that we've had the same 'outside the box' answer to the inchie word! Aren't we smart! I should have attempted to draw Petunia like you did
ReplyDeleteYe, Kia, we are very smart. Remember Zoe? She was always extremely unique with her inchies!
DeleteI like how your Diva Challenge came out. I think the "spill" looks like Coffee with Chocolate in it. Hmmmm, I wonder how that would turn out. I don't drink coffee though. It's tea for me. I love how you combined the newest tangle Trangle with A-Dalpha. They play together nicely. And Petunia Pig is delightful. I'd forgotten all about her. So nice of you to dredge her up out of our memories. LOL You have delighted us all again with your beautiful tile.
ReplyDeleteMelena, I look forward to you comments each week. You always have such interesting thoughts.
DeleteYou've drawn your tangles so well they look like they've gone under the ink. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much, Suse!
Deletehahaha I love the ending with Petunia and the top tangle is awesome with the spilled coffee, great work!
ReplyDeleteShe is a bit funny, Freebird LOL! Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteLove the tangles, and the inchie. The top one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Wendy :)
DeleteWow, fun, neato-bazito. It looks like wham, here I am. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Dudz! Must be Wednesday. Enjoyed your cheerful response :)
DeleteCool splash! I am always leery of using Distress Ink because it keeps moving any time you reactivate it, but I think this is a great use!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Charlotte. I will just have to be careful not to spill on my spill :)
DeleteLovely work as usual. I have a jar of instant coffee that I use especially for this purpose;-)
ReplyDeleteOkay, so why didn't I think of that???? I even tried squeezing out the filter with the yucky grounds, Michele!
DeleteGreat Diva tile Jean. Your 'spill' was lots bolder than mine and I really like. Your second tile with Trangle is very nice...I'll have to give that one a try soon! 😀
ReplyDeleteI really didn't expect it to pour out so dark, but it turned out okay anyway. I think you will like Trangle, Patty.
DeleteLike it, Jean!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat!
DeleteGreat tile! I had trouble with coffee too - mine turned a grey???
ReplyDeleteGrey? Hummm, maybe we could have outlined the poor stains we got, Sue? I still have my pile of "yucks" that I was thinking of just playing with more mixed media on to cover and yet still use.
DeleteYour challenge tile is so fun, the distressed ink gives it a flocked look, very nice. Love your sweet piggy too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Daniele!
DeleteLovely work, Jean! Your 'spill it' tile is great, wonderful composition!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Ilse :)
