No Diva challenge until after the holidays, so I will start with the focus tangle from Square One on Facebook. Stella is a pattern from Jana Roberts and I absolutely love it. I can see so many possibilities with this one. I am always telling my students to take just one tangle and push it in as many directions as they can. I compare it to vocabulary. If you know a lot of words but don't know how to use them, what good are they?
Chris Letourneau, CZT, has genereously shared her template to make pretty stars to tangle. I used this one to show a student how nicely Copic markers can look with Zentangle.
Every Inchie Monday's prompt word was "Ugly". Well, this time of year, we all know what that means.
Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate!
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!
I love all your art work! The sweater is priceless! Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy!
DeleteYou don't like Christmas??!!! I love it! But ...... I know what you mean about Christmas jumpers!!! Especially home made ones mother used to make when we were kids!!! Have a good one, love Jenny
ReplyDeleteWell, Jenny, I had to go back and see what I said that made you think I didn't like Christmas. Don't know, but I do love Christmas. It truly is a magical time of year. Hope you have a wonderful one!
DeleteFantastic artwork as always..I am not a fan of Christmas so would happily hide away until it all goes away
ReplyDeleteGreat inchie
Love Cheissie xx
Christmas is the only time that I see all of my family, so it has always been very special to me, Chrissie. Thanks for stopping by to leave me a comment!
DeleteJust love those tangles they are both fabulous. I quite agree wth the sentiment of the inchie, great idea. Have a wonderful happy holiday, Love Wendy x
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the "ugly" Christmas sweater is a local thing? People have parties where everyone is to wear the "ugliest" sweater and win a prize. I certainly don't think Christmas is ugly; it's just a fun tradition where I live. Happy holidays to you as well, Wendy!
Deletelove the inchie! Adorable.. in an ugly way lol. I love the star, I just bought my daughter some copics for Christmas. She chose the colors, but I got them for her she loves them. The flower tangle is really beautiful. Have a blessed Christmas
ReplyDeleteWhat a great mom to buy your daughter some Copics. Be aware that to really use them well, you need lots of colors, and that collecting them is a definite addiction, LOL! Merry Christmas, Freebird!
DeleteOoh that first piece reminds me of poinsettias, lovely! And then there's the dreaded Christmas jumper....we all know someone who loves to wear one! Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteSally
I thought it looked a lot like a poinsettia too, Sally. I have noticed that even the grocery store is selling them this year. (Ugly Christmas sweaters, not poinsettias. They've always sold poinsettias, but who would go to the grocery store to buy Christmas clothes? LOL!)
DeleteSo lovely artwork this week again! Your colourful star is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and a happy new year!
Thank you, Annette. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!
DeleteThat star is sooo beautiful! And that sweater...omg... awesome! Love it! Merry Christmas Jean!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by!
