Zentangle®, Trio, Waybob, Printemps and Florz

Laura, at I am the Diva, has challenged us to use the new tangle Waybop. It's really a pretty tangle when done gracefully. Graceful I have never been, LOL, but I do like this new tangle. I worked on a Renaissance tile with soft pastel like pencils from The Fine Touch, Hobby Lobby. I added some brown colored pencil and white for highlights.
The focus tangle on Square One, Facebook, is Trio by Hanny Waldburger, CZT. I added a bit of Cadent like topping.
And, in my Zentangle journal, the easy tangles of Printemps and Florz. A student once did Printemps in the "sloppy" way and I kind of liked it, so I included it for you to think about. Perfect isn't always necessary in Zentangle, right?
Thanks for stopping by, I do enjoy reading your comments!

  2. Before this challenge, I have only drawn Waybop just one time. I was already forgotten that it was possible to draw the tangle also with 6 pieces. I like this version very much and also the chosen colors are very nice. On the Square One tangle I see beautiful contrasts and wonderful drawn tangles and I love the combination!

    1. That's funny, Ria. When I first did it, I thought I must have done something "wrong" since it didn't look like the original. I thought I must have missed something to have three wings instead of four!

  3. Jean, your tile of Waybop reminds me of a fire starting up with all those colors. Very nice.

    1. Duane, have you ever heard of propinquity? Sometimes you just start with the closest colors :) Thanks!

  8. I really like how your Way Bop has some escaping "wings". :-D And the colors are wonderful. I agree they are very spring like. We will be getting to spring soon, won't we? I ended up with 10 seeds and 5 "wings" on mine. I guess just so long as there is an even number of seeds it will work out. And your Trio is wonderful. I don't think I've seen that one before. There are so many wonderful tangles out there.

I'm really enjoying your Zentangle journal. It's great to see the old standbys done in different ways. So glad to see you having fun with that.

    1. I will have to pop over and see your Waybop with 10 seeds, Melena. I can't even imagine fitting so many in. Now you've got me thinking about playing with an uneven number, LOL! I guess I just have trouble doing things "right"!

    1. It seems like there are not enough tiny floating kinds of tangles to fill spaces that you'd like to leave empty. Maybe this is just one that could be used instead of Ahh? Thanks for your always kind comments, Annemarie!

  10. Colours are nice - happy and playful, much like the tangle itself.

  13. your waybop looks so shiny! and I love the colors. I also REALLY like the way you've shaded Florz in your journal. Lifts it off the page.

    1. Thanks, HeidiSue. Not sure if adding the journal page is the best replacement for the Inchie, but it does force me into one more thing each week :)

    1. There are just soooo many tangles out there, Deanne! My notepad is full of them but there just isn't enough time in a day to actually get them on to a tile! Thanks for the thumbs up on the journal. I really appreciate that!

    1. It was so much fun watching him do it too, Jennifer. He was enjoying the simplicity of an almost scribble. We all should let ourselves play once in a while :)
