Inchie, Aquafleur from Zentangle®, and a Zendala

If you are visiting from the "Grow your Blog" site, please go to the last post here.

For my regular visitors, I have completed my Inchie, Dare, and Challenge, as well as a few more art journal pages.

First, the Challenge from The Diva was to do the tangle Aquafleur. I did mine on the new Renaissance tiles and used brown and sepia for the pens and then added some charcoal pencils in sepia, brown and white for accents:

Next up is an Inchie with the prompt of "ballet". I am loving doing these :)

And, finally,  the Zendala Dare from The Bright Owl. I used Laced, Girdy, and a variation of Auraknot.

If you are not yet a follower, I would most appreciate it if you would click on FOLLOWERS, Join this Site, on your right. I'm trying to build up my numbers so that I feel like somebody is reading this. I do appreciate all of you that have already done so and leave me such lovely comments too.

    1. Thanks you, Diane. I have always been intrigued by that kind of tangle. It kind of messes with my mind a bit though when I do it :)

    1. Well, Annie, I will just have to pop over to your site and help you out :) And thanks for stopping by and leaving a nice comment. As far as the unusual choices, well I do a kind of open and stab sometimes to pick my tangles. That way, I am trying something new now and then.

  10. I really like all your color variations for your diva challenge! It adds some movement and dimension that make aquafleur really fun. I'm going to have to play around with those Renaissance tiles more :)

    1. Thank you, Kailey. I love the color of the tiles but I think they are too soft and it is difficult to lay down the pen. I hope they change the formula to match the white ones one of these days.

  14. I really like your Aquafleur. The Renaissance tile and the sepia, brown and white work really well. And I see that you also left a lot of negative space in you Zendala. The border adds just the right touch. Very nice.

  17. I like the laced/eyelet and ribbon effect around the outside. I have to think about it when I do also, otherwise I end up arcing the opening the wrong way. It is nice to vary colors on Aquafleur. I have not tried the new tiles. I did get a few over the holidays, but just have not taken the time to do anything with them.

    1. HAHA, Donald. I know what you mean about arcing the wrong way. Been there, done that! The new tiles work well with the charcoals and pastels, but I find them too delicate for heavy pen work. Maybe you will feel differently. Thanks for the kind words!

  22. so cute. People who can draw make me so jealous!

    1. Ah, Jenn. Everyone who can write their name can draw. We have just been conditioned to think we can't. You would be amazed at what would happen if you put something in front of yourself and looked at it with pencil in hand, and you would draw it. It doesn't have to be perfect, that's what cameras are for. Go for it!
