Zentangle® Nipa and an Inchie

The Diva is taking a well deserved three day weekend for Easter, so no challenge to post today. I will simply edit this post tomorrow, Tuesday, so you can come back and see whatever she has in store for us.
EDITED:
Here is the Diva Challenge for this week. She has posted a Use My Tangle from Susan Goetter, called "Fanz" which I filled with Hibred. Kind of wonky, but I don't fight my tangles. If you insist on fighting what it wants to do, you are no longer doing Zentangle which is about relaxation and enjoyment. Don't fight your tangles and simply enjoy the process!
The Square One from Facebook, was to use Nipa. I added Msst and Tipple.
And, the prompt for Every Inchie Monday was "knitting". Well, as a knitter, you'd think I could stay normal for this one. NOT, LOL! So, I had to go with, when you break a bone, your body heals it by knitting the two pieces together. Such clever bodies we have and so very smart too!
Thanks for stopping by. I really enjoy sharing with you and reading your comments!

  2. P.S. Thanks for the knitting advice. I shall have to try deliberately dropping stitches. I found some YouTube videos too, so maybe I can get rid of my fear that way. Thanks.

    1. I have never broken a bone, Sally, but now I worry because my bones are getting thinner. I sure hope I don't have to find out if my bones can knit!

    1. When drawing things that tiny, one doesn't really have to worry about much accuracy. (Although, most of our group does beautiful tiny things that are very accurate.) I guess it's more important that your bones would knit anyway HAHA!

    1. You reminded me of a game my boys used to play called Crazy Bones that they tossed all over the house. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for the memories!

  11. Your tile for the Diva's challenge reminds me of a flock of birds.Good job getting Fanz to float. Mine ended up as a border because I used it on a rounded part of my string. Interesting thought process on the knitting inchie. :) Don't break a leg!

    1. Boy, I wish I could take credit for the floating Fanz, but it floated all on its own LOL! I do need to be careful about breaking things at my age.

  13. I really like how you have created Fanz in free form...that is really cool when people think of doing it that way. Knitted bones...is a good idea! Different!

    1. I wish I could say that I planned it to be free form, but it kind of just decided to do it all by itself LOL! Thanks though, Lynell :)

  14. You're so right about not fighting the tangles, it usually ends up looking horrible because of the fight :)

  15. Dear Jean, those tangles do have a mind of their own, don't they? I used Nipa for a zinchie as I saw that you worked it well for the Square One piece. I like your take on the inchie--a unique perspective. Have a brilliant day! c

    1. They sure do. I find them very difficult to tame. Probably because I kind of prefer them to be a bit wild. It's fun to just let them go and see what they really want to be. As you can imagine, grids make me crazy LOL!

    1. Thanks. I do enjoy trying to fit tangles inside of tangles. Lots of tangles really make nice strings (like Hollibaugh).

  20. I enjoyed looking at your work. I think adding the shadowing adds so much. :-) I am a beginner zentangler and am getting ready to do a Friday night tangle with the Diva challenge. I also was knitting a bit this evening. I'm doing a sky scarf and had a few days to catch up. I'm also a teacher---I just thought we had a lot in common! Enjoy your weekend!

    1. Isn't it funny how we kind of "forget" to do certain tangles. I guess because you can only fit so many in one tile at a time LOL! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment :)

  22. Jean - your Fanz are so delightful!! And your Nipa is very lovely - different from how I usually use and I am inspired :)

    1. Thank you, Diane. You must know by now that I HAVE to mess with tangles and try to make them do something different. That's always my own challenge!
