Original 2013 tile |
The focus tangle from Square One, Facebook, is Merryweather from CZT Sandy Hunter. I kept it simple and true in the center and then let myself wander as I reached the edges.
Finally, Every Inchie Monday's prompt word is Physics. Now, maybe I've really gone off the deep end on this one, but when I was a child my mom had to take physics. It is an old word for laxative LOL!
If you have a moment, I would most appreciate it if a few of you would go to this link and vote for my Copic colored coloring book page. Dover has a contest and voting goes until the 30th. I just entered it yesterday, so I probably have few votes, if any. Thank you.
Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments!
Great remix, Jean!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat!
DeleteTerrific artwork and I laughed out loud at the inchie
ReplyDeleteOff to vote tor you
Love Chrissie xx
I am always happy to hear that I made someone laugh, Chrissie. Glad I didn't offend and thanks for your vote :P
Deletehaven't the slightest idea how to comment on your inchie! you do like to go off the beaten path lol - very clever. voted for your lovely flowers (is there a prize in the contest?)
ReplyDeleteYes, Kia. I miss the truly zany inchies that Zoe used to come up with. Thanks for the vote. The prize can be a coloring book or more and the big winner gets their page put in a catalogue. I won first prize a couple of years ago but I never did see my image in a catalogue. Anyway, it's been a long time and I just thought I would give it a try.
DeleteJean, I voted for your coloring page. It's a beautifully done page, the only one that even came close to yours was one of the Butterfly Fairies. Great job...I color quite a lot, but have a tendency, even at my age, to go out of the lines, sigh. Loved your tiles, but man, your Inchie cracked me up!! Great job, lol...gave me ideas for my own inchie. My grandparents used to talk about taking "spring psychics," lol, so you brought me some good memories, too!! Love my grandparents...may they rest in peace!!
ReplyDeleteJoyce
Thank you, Joyce. You should try watercolor. Going out of the lines is part of the process and makes the end result even prettier! Always nice to reminisce about loved ones.
DeleteI love your Remix Jean. Sure made that tile into something much more interesting. I love the Molygon along the one side. Your Merryweather is beautiful. You always inspire me to do a tangle I haven't used before. :D Your inchie has given us all a good laugh, which we all need more of. And your coloring book page of the flowers in a vase is very beautiful. I will for sure go vote for yours right now.
ReplyDeleteSome of those early tiles are just a tad embarrassing, for me anyway LOL! I don't know what I was thinking :) Thanks, Melena, for your kind words and I appreciate your adding another vote to my colored vase!
DeleteI just pushed on "vote" at your beautiful flowers. I hope I succeeded because I didn't see anything that is was done allright.
ReplyDeleteA very nice remix Jean with a beautiful Arukas and a funny Ichie to laugh, thank you.
Thanks for the vote, Ria, and thanks for always stopping by and leaving a sweet comment!
DeleteYour remix really completed the tile. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melissa. I would imagine that most of us have tiles that we abandoned mid composition for one reason or another.
DeleteYour old Purk tile looks a lot like my first Purk attempts. You really perked up your Purk tile. (Ouch). I haven't been doing the Square One challenges, but your Merryweather is inspiring, especially if I can find a few more hours each day. I voted for your lovely copic flowers. I admit I did out of loyalty, but having looked through at least some of the other entries, I have to say, your lovely flowers are quite sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I know what you mean about more hours in a day, Suzanne. Thanks for your "loyalty" LOL!
DeleteLove your tangles. And a brilliant inchie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trillian!
DeleteNice remix! You have perked up the Purk :). Voted and good luck.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Indira :)
DeleteGreat job!! I have always liked Purk. Every time I start Arukas, I mess it up really bad.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lynn. Don't give up on Arukas. Try doing just two spokes from a corner and it will suddenly make sense.
DeleteLovely work! I voted!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michele!
DeleteIt's nice to do (and see) this challenge. Your new one is so much more than the old one.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was fun Annemarie. Thank you.
Deleteyour inchie made me laugh so much I love the inchie. The rest of your work is awesome and I am on my way to vote!
ReplyDeleteGlad I made you laugh, Freebird! Thanks for the vote too!
DeleteGreat Remix, and I love your Merryweather tile too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ilse :)
DeleteSuper tangles great remix job and I love your Inchie - made me laugh even before coming to your blog - I thought it was just physics the way we go to the toilet!!! But I love your explanation - love your flowers and voted as it was the best!! Love Jenny
ReplyDeleteAww, you are too sweet, Jenny. Thank you!
DeleteI thought your inchie was hilarious. Then I read Jenny's comment and well, we all are off the deep end, aren't we!? WOW. I like how you spiffed up your Diva tile and the drawing is worthy of my vote! c
ReplyDeleteAs you might guess, Cheryl, I prefer to life off the deep end! All are welcome :) And, thanks for the vote too!
Deletegood remix Jean, and I voted for your flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Chantal!
DeleteBeautiful Remix! & Just voted your wonderful coloring!
ReplyDeleteThanks, and much appreciated, Anja!
DeleteGreat remix Jean - your Purk looks so much happier now! Your Inchie had me laughing too! I'm off to vote for your pretty flowers - never too late!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments, and for your vote. Today is the last day, so you made it YAY!
DeleteVery nice remixing art, I had a good giggle at your inchie, I did wonder when I saw the mini icon on the link! And let me say that I love the colouring page a lot too.
ReplyDeleteSally
I suppose I do give the rest of the Inchie group fits when they see some of the pictures I draw LOL! Thanks, Sally :)
DeleteI really like your remix on your Purk tile. It's one of those tangles that I always mess up, so I don't use it. But I love the way you added to it and made a wonderful composition. I've got to say, I didn't have a clue what you were talking about on your inchie until you offered your explanation for it. Then I laughed myself silly. Oh, and I actually did get to the contest and vote for you on Monday when I first looked at the challenge for this week. You do lovely Copic work. I have the Spectrum Noir markers and I need to start to learn them. I love the way the look. Good luck in the contest!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lizlie. Do go to the Spectrum Noir site. They offer a free course on their marker use and, if you finish it, you get to be Spectrum Noir certified. If you look at my side bar, you'll see that I did that after I became Copic certified. The Copics are much easier to use, but the Spectrum Noirs are certainly a lot less money and will work.
DeleteThe first tile took its true dimension, it seemed to expect it Ends!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine. I should go back and try to "save" some other tiles one of these days.
DeleteLovely! Your updated tile looks great, as does the inchie! h
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Helen :)
DeleteLove your work...and your sense of humor! Voted for your lovely coloring book page. Really love it :)
ReplyDeleteWell, those of us who weren't pretty little things had to develop a sense of humor. One thing nice is pretty doesn't last and humor does! LOL! Thank you Dorita!
DeleteA successful remix, well done!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Suse!
