Zentangle® with Tri-bee, Jalousie, and an Inchie

UMT, use my tangle, features Tri-bee from CZT Beate Winkler over at The Diva Challenge this week. Such a pretty tangle with so many options. I chose to do an aura and add some Knightsbridge.
The focus tangle for Square One was Jalousie by Stephanie Kukla. I added Hurry to this one.
And, Every Inchie Monday had a fun prompt this week: Lumberjack. Did you know that September 26 is National Lumberjack Week? Well, I didn't either. So, next year, pull out your plaid, grow a beard, and eat some pancakes!

Hubby and I were off on a camping trip (no phone or Internet service) for several days so I couldn't comment on everyone's blog. I will try to do better this week. I always enjoy reading your comments and I thank you for dropping by!

Zentangle® on This and That and More

After scanning, adjusting photos and such, I have come to realize that I am spending way too much time on absolutely everything except being retired. I thought I would have down time and just relax; however, I have jumped into every challenge, dare, group, trade and more. Sigh. I know many of you can relate HAHA!
Sunday, was the Zendala Dare from The Bright Owl. We were to do our work around something that we are grateful for. I am grateful for many, many things, but I really treasure my friends. That, dear reader, includes you as I think the Zentangle community is just so friendly and sharing and I do so appreciate that you stop by and leave comments.
Monday, I like to see what the Challenge is from The Diva. We were asked to do something with the New Year. I also had one of my new online friends, Annemarie, share some beautiful coasters she had done and I thought I would try one, so I combined the two together to come up with this:
Coaster

Alice in Blue Inchie

Now, I have joined the world of "Inchies". If you look at the side of my blog, there is an Inchie badge. Do go take a look. Every Monday, we have a new prompt. These probably won't include Zentange, though they might. What fun these little pieces of art are. This is my very first one and we were to do "Alice in Blue". Out came my Copics for this one!

Then, of course, I have my Yahoo trades. One was to use a peace sign, one was for ATC's of dressed snowmen (or women), and one was to use only tangles that started with J for January.
Jilly, Jalousie, Jetties
Jonqal, Jitterz, Jambalee
'nzepple, Printemps, Florz, Zinger
Brayd, Betweed
Florz, Ahh, Eke, Diva Dance
Now, if you think that's not enough, please take a look at my ART JOURNAL page on the tabs above to see the fun I am having slopping paints and glue and anything else I can think of as part of Journal52, a group of art journal enthusiasts who will find time to play with a new page each week. It's not too late to join. I won't post these on my main page, so that those of you who are not interested don't have to look at them, but I will update that page with the new things I am doing with that group and with the pages from a journal that I made and am following from the book Art at the Speed of Life.

Early on Thursday. Lots to Share.

It's only Thursday, but I have so much to share that I thought I would jump in early this week. Now that I am finally retired, you may have to look at more "stuff" from me!

Roy's Adventures in Monotangle from Mindful Creations this week is Shard. He thought it would be nice to do some straight lines. Well, I just finished doing some grids and was sort of tired of straight lines, so I had to "bend the rules" a bit:

Here are a few of those grids that I worked on:

 No ruler used here HAHA!!!
Thought I'd play with different circles.
Sunray
Hopscotch

Jalousie
Knase
'Nzeppel

Beeline
Flukes
Puf
Blankett
Bubbles

A Yahoo trade was to do ATCs on black. I chose to use some Slicci pens. They work so nicely on black. I then added some white dots with a Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen. Can you see the Inapod there? Then, I sprayed all with Perfect Pearls Mist.

Sundoo

Fengle           Msst         Raindotty
Finally, I wanted to play with my Copic and Spectrum Noirs around some colored pencils. I traced some flower pictures and went from there:

Aura-Leah
Verve

Auraknot
Barberpole
Shattuck

(Can you tell that I am trying to learn the names of the tangles that I do and that I am trying to use new ones all the time?)
