Tangling Lefty, Adding Grounding, and a Bookmarker for Fall

A Facebook group I belong to was talking about doing an Autumn Bookmarker. Nothing came of it, but the idea was in my head anyway:

I played with spray paints, glitter glue, Copics and colored pencils.

I had a small silk leaf that I used to trace on one and spray over on the other. I used Betweed, 'nZeppel, and something I can't remember the name of. Sigh.

The Yahoo ZIA Group had us do a tile adding some grounding. I don't often think of doing this, so I thought it would be a good idea to try:

Printemps, 'nZeppel, Static, Flux and Amaze

Well, trying to do a Zentangle lefthanded was quite the challenge, from the Diva. I noted a few things while trying to draw with my non-dominant hand. First, I drew more lightly, second, I drew more slowly. Then, I noticed that I was very tense and un-zentangle like and had to force my shoulders down. Then, I started to wonder if I should try to turn my hand upside down like most lefties do. That didn't work at all. I'm almost embarrassed to post this one:

I though it best to use easy tangles for this one. I used Mooka, Crescent Moon, Flukes, and Pokeroot. Can anyone guess why there is a Bronx Cheer in there HAHA!

  1. Not used to use the non-dominant hand, you get quite tired.
A great challenge especially to see what happens, like you did.

    1. I used to have my students, when I was an art teacher, do this exercise. It made them appreciate how much better they were than they thought. I sure was glad to get back to using my more "talented" hand!

  2. It does require more focus but you did well. You added to the challenge by using tangles other than bales.

    1. Yes, Donald, let's say that I was being creative, not that I didn't read the first half of the directions and then just jump off, typical of me, on my merry way HAHA! Never even realized. Wondered why everyone seemed stuck on Bales!

    1. Thank you Donald. I now know I should click on it to check that it works properly. I also wondered why very few people had wandered my way. I really appreciate you letting me know. I don't know how to fix it, so I just added it again. I wish I could remove the wrong one though. Thanks again!

  5. Thank you, Lonetta. I did the back too and I loved it myself. That's the hard thing about swaps. You try to do your very best work and then it is difficult to let go.
