Last week, when we did stripes, I wondered if I would ever do them again. I was surprised to find myself grabbing this magazine photo to tangle for this week's challenge, "tangle something unexpected" from Laura at The Diva Challenge. Stacked again LOL!
I used, top to bottom, Cadent, Printemps, 'Nzepple, Hibred, Nekton, and Poke Root. Because the paper was glossy, I only added a bit of shading using a Fabrico cool gray marker. The tangling was done with a green, fine line, sharpie.
Square One focus tangle this week is Meringue by Kelley Kelly.
And, the prompt word for Every Inchi Monday is Myth. I'll bet you can guess which myth this one is based on.
Yup, it's Nessie. I love myths and think there has to be at least a smidgen of truth in them, but that's the dreamer in me :)
Thanks for stopping by, and I love reading your comments!

Zentangle® Stripes, Bronx Cheer, and an Inchie
I never look at others' tangles before I post mine. Why? Well, if I see how wonderful they are I might be too intimidated to post my own, or I might feel like I have to go back and redo mine. I know, silly, but it is a flaw of my nature that I just have to work with, and not peeking is how I do it. Those of you who use blogger will know that when you open it up, the first thing it shows you is recent posts from those on your blogroll list. So, I open mine up to post and there is, where I can't miss seeing it, LeeAnn's entry for this week's Dive Challenge and it, as always, is so gorgeous that my mouth dropped. Sigh.... I will post mine anyway LOL!I used Beeline, Ambler, Hibred, Tortuca and Chartz. What's the difference between Ambler and Emingle? In Ambler, the pattern moves clockwise whereas with Emingle the pattern repeats.
For Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was "Quartz Crystal". I started thinking about quartz. Did you know it is said to have powers? Like a crystal ball? Gel pens on black and I used some Glossy Accent over the ball to give it depth. I looked into my crystal ball and saw more time on the Internet, my studio getting more and more stuffed with things I need, and a lot of happiness. What do you see in your future?
And, I have joined another group on Facebook for people who really want to do traditional Zentangle tiles. It is called Square One: Purely Zentangle®. So, I will now post my weekly entry for that group as well. This week, we were to use Bronx Cheer as a tangle, not as a mistake cover.

Zentangle® and an Inchie (Edited to add the Dive Challenge too)
Well, that was scary. I was going to post my Inchie for Every Inchie Monday and my computer told me that my folder, with this whole year's pictures was "unavailable." I searched all over for it and finally went online to see what that message meant and it said that I will experience a hard drive crash very soon. AAKKK!!!! So, I restarted my computer. Still no folder. Then, I don't know why, I decided to look in my trash and THERE IT WAS!!! I don't know how it got there and, usually, I am quite tidy and empty my trash regularly. Phew!
Inchie for today is "Plum" and to be sure, after the past hour I AM plum tuckered out :)
And, if you are missing seeing a Zentangle tile (the Diva hasn't had a chance to post for this week yet), here's one with Twing, Hibred and Printemps.
Edited to add the Diva Challenge that showed up after I had posted. I couldn't get past the new skirt that I always got for the start of each school year. It was always plaid. I had to do a ZIA (this kind of looks like boxer shorts though HAHA!) this time.

Circles, an Inchie, and Zentangle® Meets Art Journaling

| Verve, Inapod, Hibred, Snail, Emingle |
For this week's Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was "Killer". My first thought was, well, you ALL know the headache I am talking about:
I know some of you follow my art journal blog as well, but since our prompt this week was to use a Mandala, I thought I might share that picture here for those who do not.

A Zentangle® Christmas Wish and a Dare
This week's Zendala Dare by Erin at The Bright Owl, was a very different template. The rectangles looked like dominoes to me and I was going to do them as such but decided it was too predictable. So I went with Hibred and added Striping and Betweed.
I want to wish all my fellow tanglers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season for all.
