Zentangle® Strings, Tipple vs Perfs, and an Inchie

For this week's challenge, # 187, the Diva asked us to do our string with our eyes closed. This is the string I made.

Which turned into this.
Half a Verve, direction changing Facade, Mooka, Onamato, Squid, and some embellishments.

Square One: Purely Zentangle®,  had us working with Betweed. I had someone ask the difference between Tipple and perfs, so I added some perfs (pearl like dots around a tangle as used in old manuscripts) and a couple of auras.

And, for Every Inchie Monday, the prompt was "Throne". Well, you know I wanted to do the porcelain throne, but thought too many would go that direction, so I had to dig deeper. I found some interesting things about angelic hierarchies and throne angels. I did the first one using oil pastels with the scratch method of layering black over lighter colors then scraping off. But, I wasn't sure it cold be seen as an angel, so I did another with a Copic sprayed background and gel pens.

Thanks for stopping by and I love to read all your comments.

Zentangle® Earth Day, An Inchie, and Just Fun

Angel Fish, Cat-Kin, Sanibelle, Tipple
This week, I was lucky enough to teach an Organic and Tangled Garden class. What fun! People seem to really love the freedom of a ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) and the flow of organic tangles. We worked on tan pape

Onamato, Verve, Reticulated, Nipa

Jonqal, Sandswirl, Lichen, Quib
While I waited for the class to begin, I played with some ATC's with glitter/paint strings:

HOTdog
Every Inchie Monday's prompt was HOT. Oh, the different directions people will go with this one. I can't wait to look, but I never look until I have posted. I'm afraid if I look first, I will be too embarrassed to post mine LOL!!!

And, the Diva challenged us to create a tile for Earth Day. I had to add a bit of Diva Dance to my tree :)

Happy Earth Day to all and thank you for stopping by!

Challenge of 8s Parte Dos, C-Bun, and a Card

The Diva challenged us to use a tangle by CZT Jane Eileen called 8s Parte Dos. I have attempted to do this tangle a few times before but really have some brain connection problems with some tangles. This was one of them for me. So, I had put it aside. Along comes the challenge and I had to try it again. I am too embarrassed to let you know how many pages and pages of my notebook are filled with my attempts to understand the ins and outs of this tangle. But, with determination, I finally actually not only got it, but understand it. It is really a great tangle and has a lot of design possibilities. If you haven't tried it, do so.

A new tangle was posted on Tangle Patterns called C-Bun. I happen to love cinnamon buns, so I had to try it.

And, finally, my tangling group leader of the month brought in some great tags that slide into a holder for us to make some cards. I, sadly, have a friend in need of some cheering up, so I made the card for him. The tag slides into the holder and the pattern is repeated on the inside and out with room for the hidden message inside the holder. Then it goes on a backing, on to a card with a personal message inside and off to the mailbox hoping to bring at least a little smile.

With them put together:
