Zentangle® Your Countrie's Colors, Brrst, and an Inchie

This week, the Diva, from I am the Diva, is traveling through my beautiful country right now. Since both Canada and the USA celebrate our countries this time of the year, her challenge is to use our countries colors. I look forward to seeing entries from all over this world for this one. I usedKoi Coloring Brush Pens for the red and blue and a Sharpie acrylic paint pen for the white (pink LOL!). Simple tangles of Hollibaugh and a variation of Nipa using stars instead of circles. I hope everyone enjoys feeling a bit of pride as they complete this week's challenge.
The focus tangle from Square One, Facebook, is to use Brrst by Kelly Barone CZT, to which I added some Zander.
And the prompt word from Every Inchie Monday is Computer. I can remember clearly the first inkling that I had of the enormous power of the computer, and not in a good way, was from the movie Colossus, The Forbin Project in 1970. Frightening indeed.

Thanks for stopping by. I love reading your comments and appreciate that you take the time to leave one. I do try to respond to each one.

Old is New Again

If you are looking for my normal Monday post, you will find it here.  The Diva did not post on Monday, as it was a holiday. Today though, she posted that we should find one of our original Zentangle pieces and see how much we may have (or not) improved. Or, The Ghost of Tangles Past. I recognized that I had done Verve. I think I tried Zander, and I'm not really sure about the others. So, I guessed Beelight, Flukes, and I added Footlites (Carole Ohl) to the top since I had absolutely no idea what it was supposed to be. I actually think my Verve was better almost 4 years ago!

Do try to remember what the real purpose of Zentangle is. Relax, enjoy, and appreciate whatever stage you may feel you, because the finished product is NOT the goal of Zentangle. This was a really fun journey down memory lane though as I pulled out old tiles and papers. I find that I love the process of tangling in a relaxing meditative state as much as ever.

Zendala Dare #73, Diva Challenge #135, and Water Color Play

I got a new set of watercolors this week. The set is from Jack Richeson and has 22 pans of luscious colors. I picked up at AZ Art Supply since I now get a teacher discount. WooHoo! So, lots of playing with those. on these:

This was for the Diva Challenge, Well, a new tangle from Rick and Maria.

These two were just for fun.  Remember fun?
Mooka, Jetties, Zander

The Zendala Dare from Erin at The Bright Owl probably wasn't supposed to turn into pumpkins, but I couldn't help it. That's what mine wanted to be. I LOVE Halloween :) A little Nipa and Printemps.
And finally, (well not really, there's lots more but you don't have to see everything HAHA), my Yahoo Group TOW (Tangle of the Week) was to do Riki Tiki. I used my Chaz and added some Tipple.
